storm and black panther isnt very good. It is a bit forced.
Storm always remained sidelined in the X-Men in terms of relationships and background. Her marriage to the Black Panther is the best thing that happened to her. She was worshipped as a goddess in Kenya. So why would she permanently leave that to remain with a group of people who at times live like fugitives?
Storm is more than a mutant, she descends from a long line of African priestesses and her being the queen of Wakanda ties into that. She's considered a goddess/high priestess there and it boosts her powers to the divine.

Should have been Cyclops - right up until she died the first time.
Then she stayed dead.

Just a trophy wife easily discarded like scum by BP. Storm deserves better and had better with Wolverine. Treated her like an equal and there's been 40 years of history establishing who they are and what they've become.
BP didn't deserve Storm. She shouldn't lower herself to that. Wolverine let's Storm be Storm. She can never get that from BP

This undoubtedly would have been sad for Jean-fans. However, I do think it would have been better for the X-Men lore overall. Possibly even better for Jean as character as well. Dark Phoenix Saga was the classic X-Men story and one of the most iconic superhero stories. After she was brought back, she was still a well-liked character but she never reached the greatness she had during Claremont's golden years. And her very presence devalued the story that made her iconic in the first place.
I also would have been fine with Angel being Jean's love-interest instead of Scott. I was never really a fan of the Jean/Scott couple. Their relationship is considered classic now but that doesn't mean the comics couldn't have done something different with them. I don't think Scott and Jean needed to be together romantically for them to become the great characters they are.

Jean should find love with a civilian doctor from Wakanda and after their first night together, we see her in an oversized t-shirt that reads "Wakanda Forever". Y'know, to signify that the good doctor laid that pipe...

Laid that pipe haha
Since she is friends with Storm and black panther is her ally, they should set Jean a date with M'baku. Time for comics catch up on the M'baku love from the movie

Oh, I agree. Dark Phoenix Saga - the original one - was - INCREDIBLE.
When they brought her back for X-Factor... it was... for comic book logic... acceptable, at best. But sort of undid the sacrifice that Jean made, that made her character finally the strongest (spiritually) - to sacrifice herself for the better of her team mates - and not just be the weak female who had TK powers. Her return in X-Factor started off good ... but then rapidly went down hill.
And ... her constant death and rebirth recycled idea since then has made her useless and a parody of her own self.

I honestly never got the love for DPS. Even if Jean hadn't come back, I still found it "meh" but I don't have any nostalgia towards it since I wasn't even born yet. But I've pretty much enjoyed Jean in a lot of other stories, even older ones. Inferno, Fall of the Mutants, X-Tinction Agenda, X-Cutioners Song, Fatal Attractions, Age of Apocalypse and even the road to Onslaught.
On topic, for some reason, I can't see Jean with Warren. I could see a fling but I think she's attracted good guys (at least she thinks their good) but she is also drawn to men with edge. Only exception I could see being Steve Rogers, I feel like she would really fall for him.
