If you live near an Ollie's Discount store, they just bought 19 truckloads of DC hardcovers and trade paperbacks they are blowing out at super cheap prices (from $1.99 to $12.99, the latter for omnibus editions).
I came home with a huge pile of stuff from them this afternoon...

for under $200. Bleeding Cool had a piece on their sale as well.

It could be worse. You could be living in Ireland, which is second only to Australia and New Zealand in terms of missing out on great deals [insert uncontrollable sobbing emoji here].

I live in Scotland - we only learnt to read last week.

Its probably a good thing all the ice/snow is hitting the midwest. It will keep me from going out and spending money.

I have never even heard of this place, so I googled it and there was one 15 minutes away from where I work. I spent $90!

You guys have it too good.

I went to my local Ollie’s. Either it was already picked clean or they never got anything. There we’re a lot of single issues, a couple DC trades and some dark horse manga volumes. I was hoping to get a few showcase presents volumes.
I’ve been seeing a lot of essentials/showcase material showing up at half price books. Some warehouses must be liquidating.

of course newbury has prevented ollie's from expanding into new england. the closest is rhode island and connecticut. you guys are lucky. if i could justify the trip, i would.

I know we've talked a little about Ollie's but one of the best books I got from there was the Shade collection - Robinson's follow to Starman. Most of the books I picked up were either something I've read or something I'd read ONLY because it was a great deal.
But I have wanted to read the Shade mini for a long time and couldn't pass up that $3 price tag!

I wonder if the list price is a mistake. Its $20 less than the other collections.
