Anybody know what undertakers new gimick is? Is it like a cross between bigevil and and Deadman?
Since they're involving Takers wife I'm guessing the idea is that Taker isn't using a gimmick pers say. It's basically Mark feuding with AJ Styles. Though real life Mark is basically Bid Evil anyways.

He was telaporting on raw so it's partly Deadman.

Sources are saying that Braun will likely be taking Roman's place in the title match.

Well that's horrible.

As a last minute substitute, that's OKAY I guess. Far from ideal, but given the circumstances the WWE are dealing with that can be forgiven.
Like most Goldberg matches I imagine this will be short, so match quality won't really be an issue.
I'm assuming if it's Braun that means Goldberg won't actually be dropping the belt... so Braun is an okay choice to feed to Goldberg.
-
Hopefully Braun wins. It's not ideal, but he shouldn't lose another world title match and Goldberg shouldn't hold the belt past Mania.
They can do Braun vs. Roman at Summerslam or something. Those two tend to work well together anyway.
-
Give Braun the belt if he is substituting. Having Braun lose to an old man will kill his career.

Under normal circumstances I would agree Goldberg shouldn't hold the belt past Mania. But I think it matters less if Goldberg holds the belt now, given the current situation. With everyone having such a limited wrestling schedule anyways with like 2 wrestling matches per show if that, there's barely a difference between the appearances he makes and the appearances the majority of the other members of the roster will make. So the part timer stigma sort of matters less.
Plus, after Braun recent social media blunders I'm not sure it's the best time to make him champion. Unless you maybe want to turn him heel. I suppose that could work.

Goldberg shouldn't have the belt no matter what. The man is over 50. Bad enough they having risk his health but Goldberg retaining has no long term benefit to the company or Goldberg himself. Let the man do what he came in for and have him stay at home.

His age is a valid concern.
Though now that I think about it, that probably should apply to announcers too. Maybe that's why King wasn't around last RAW. I imagine some of the AEW announce team are up there in years too. Tony and JR have gotta be in their 60's.

I'm on the "Put him into the Fiend/Cena match". That match is going to have shenanigans anyway and Goldberg won't have to do much.
Or Seth Rollins would be my sleeper choice.

I'd prefer Fiend over Braun, since Fiend arguably deserves a rematch anyways.

I'm OK with Goldberg keeping the belt right now. If they give someone new the belt, that person is going to be remembered as the champion of bare-bones TV production and no crowds. I'd rather that burden be with someone that's barely around anyway than someone that will still be with the company once things start to normalize.

In a way, this Wrestlemania will always be historically famous for this exact reason. The show must go on and there will be a lot of documentaries, interviews, etc. about how they put together this show. Drew McIntyre, Sasha Banks, etc may not get their Wrestlemania moment in front of the crowd, but 20 years from now this show will always be remembered.
