Anybody elses think this is just a horrible Liefeld redesign?

You haven't seen many Liefeld designs have you?
Also, that's The Flash costume, Bleeding Cool seems to think so too.
I don't know, I kinda like it.... its different, but that does not mean its bad. What don't you like about it? I think the colors they picked matched well and its different enough from Flash and the other Kid Flash to make him look like his own hero.
Worst speedster costume ever
Also hes obviously THE FLASH and not Kid Flash.
Worst speedster costume ever
Nah, the one from the speedster appearing in Teen Titans Futures End though...

That is the new Wally West right? So if this is five years later that would make him 17, so no way in hell I'm calling him the Flash!

It looks like he is wearing Armor. Not what I would expect from a speedster.

Why not? He was 18 when he first became the Flash.

If this is 5 years in the future he would be 17, way too young to be The Flash. Plus according to Futures End 0 Barry lives to be an old man before he dies, so why would "Wally" (yes I'll never accept he's Wally West) be The Flash?

Why not? He's old enough to being called that way and seeing how it seems like there's no Barry on the cover, he may as well call himself The Flash.

What Barry is currently wearing is basically an armor too.
Why not? He was 18 when he first became the Flash.
Because Barry should also still be alive 5 years in the future(he was an old man with a white beard on Futures End 0). So why would there be two guys calling themselves Flash?

That's the future they're trying to prevent.
We Flash now.

we had 3 guys calling themselves "Flash" before Flashpoint....

Did any of you read Futures End 0? Barry lives to see the Brother Eye Apocalypse, so he should be around 5 years from now.
And while Barry's suit might look like an armor, it doesn't do it as obviously as this silver monstrosity.
Silver really? Might as well call him Max Mercury while they are at it!
Totally ending up on the wrong side of history here, but I like it.
we had 3 guys calling themselves "Flash" before Flashpoint....
Yeah, somehow I think that was one of the reasons they did the whole reboot thing (THEY ONLY WANTED ONE!). Which also explains the whole destruction of Wally West they are now doing.

I actually like Wally's costume more than Barry's, is just a cool looking suit.
And Max never wore anything silver.

Agree to disagree.
And Max never wore anything silver.
Meant it as a pun, because of the whole Mercury also being know as liquid silver thing.
It's basically the classic Kid Flash costume with a new paint job and some Booth style detailing.
I actually like the silver and red look, even if I think some of the detailing is approaching the overly-complicated 1990's throwback that sometimes creeps into Booth's artwork. The red and silver keeps it from having the Reverse Flash color scheme, and heartens a bit towards the old Walter West Dark Flash costume. You can tell that their still running with "New 52=must equal dynamic and drastic new look," though.
Overall, not bad, though I kind of hope this is more of a Kid Flash suit and that his Flash suit looks more like the traditional Scarlet. Speedster.
I think it looks pretty cool.
He reminds me of Falcon so much.
They should change the silver to black then it would be good.

Seriously? How?

I don't see a large amount of belt pouches.
Liefield is the guy who's known for that right?

As an aside, I like the costume, and methinks wally decided to join Wonder Woman in replacing the gold/yellow in his costume with silver/gray.
It's ok except the throwback hair cut out. Which looks weird with the silver armor look of the suit.

The mask and Wally's haircut

Meh. I wish i could come up with more. Im just not very enthused by this new Wally.
I wouldn't mind the solid blue costume Future Barry was wearing, as nuWally's costume, maybe with a sprinkle of silver. Too many colours in this costume, other than that I sort of dig it.
Silver Flash?
This is lame. It's such a dull design.
I think it looks pretty sleek. Both did a great job this time around. It sure beats his New 52 Kid Flash(Bart) costume.
Not feeling this design, it's too metallic
I like it. It's tweaked, but still obviously a flash type costume. And no, the art didn't remind me of Liefeld. The anatomy is too well drawn ;)
So the question is ... will this eventually be Wally's costume? Or is it just for Future's End? We all know that most of Future's End won't stick when it is all over. Could Wally be keeping this costume when it is all said and done? Will he be the New Kid Flash? If so... will it somehow be as a seventeen year old from Future's End? Or will it be the same costume but with a twelve year old Wally?
Not for me. Especially the hair, upper mask area.
But I'm still trying to grasp the new Wally West, so maybe both will grow on me.
Maybe......
He just looks like one of those flashes from the future, in the old universe
it's just meh
Its not a carbon copy of Barry's costume, its not a copy of old Kid Flash costumes, yet its distinctly a speedster family look.
So it works for me. If its in the ballpark of what he'll end up wearing in proper continuity that is.
looks pretty good to me, it's definitely different from the norm. I can see it appearing as a little over complicated but to be honest it's a really good design.
It's surprisingly good, I quite like it. I also like that they just didn't go with the old costume. You want Wally to be different, to be his own character. Well, giving him his own (cool looking) unique costume is a good start.
I try to be upbeat - I really do. When I first saw this today on my cell phone, I didn't think it looked bad. Now that I've seen it on a bigger screen, it's losing its luster (pardon the pun). I'm okay with the silver and dark grey/black, but the red on the arms and chest make it seem too busy. (I prefer simple costumes design-wise. The more complex, the more it'll vary from artist to artist.)
I can live with the red trims, but the more I see the open cowl, the more it bugs me. Personally, open cowls are best for showing off hair - which especially works for speedsters. (Like more Kid Flash of the prior continuity.) With short hair like this, it's like why bother? It almost looks like he just has a black topping to his cowl and cut a "forehead window" onto the front.
Maybe I'm just being nitpicky. Overall, I do like it. It's different enough, but it still Flash-y.
