I've been looking at the usage stats and everything seems much better now; back to normal as far as I can see.
Some settings on the hosting server needed tweaking is all. Thanks to the CBR Tech guys for handling that.
On a related note, Matt, the contact email to report forum problems doesn't seem to presently be working. When I tried to report the Database Error glitch a few days ago, the email came back to me through MAILER DAEMON.

Correct - the receiving mail server isn't recognising <community@comicbookresources.com> as a valid recipient of e-mail.
Are you talking about the "Contact an Admin" option at the top? I just tested it and it worked fine.

I forget if I used the top or bottom links, Conn, but the email address in question was community@comicbookresources.com. The email I tried to send there bounced right back at me on Tuesday.
Maybe that related to the glitches?
Possibly. I remember that when I clicked the link, it didn't take me straight to a CBR Forums email field, but gave me the option of sending an email through either my Gmail or Yahoo Mail accounts.
Of course, that does raise the question that if the glitch takes out the email contact functions too, how can we notify the admins? We need a way that doesn't depend on the forums themselves working normally.

I tested the bottom one too, that one works fine as well.
You keep mentioning that you sent that email on Tuesday/days ago, BA. It's probably safe to say it was the glitch. Some emails during that time did make it through, we had some people reporting the database errors through there.

As long as some form of communications that doesn't depend on the forums being up and running is available. :)
I even resorted to posting on CBR's Facebook page.

Also, the forums/admin email is community@cbr.com.

Nope, what Buried Allen and myself are talking about is an out-of-band communications channel to the admins that doesn't depend on the forum software, or the forum servers at all. In this case e-mail. During the database glitches some of the error pages listeed <community@comicbookresources.com> as the out-of-band way to contact you, but it does not work—I still receive SMTP error 550 (not a valid recipient).
You later say that <community@cbr.com> is the real out-of-band way to contact you, but that wasn't the address we were given by the web site while the errors occured.
Ah, that makes sense.
Just me or the forum is extra slow right now?
Just me or the forum is extra slow right now?
No its not just you , the site seems to be slow and posting issues where you reply and it seems to not post (but it does). Its another glitch it appears.
