You mention "Hodge-Podge the rabbit", but not Portnoy, the ... um, what was Portnoy?
Perfect!
Breathed sticks the landing with the launch of the legendary Aluminium Falcon! Glad to see our old friends back!

A groundhog? Hodge didn't take the news well, iirc. ;)
When the "Opus" run ended, Breathed said he was stepping away from strips entirely and began focusing on writing children's books. At the time, he said the political climate in the country had grown too bitter for him to continue taking a light tone on things, and he wanted to get out before things got too tough.
Kids books that dealt with light-hearted subjects such as animal abuse and abandonment, and dog-fighting rings. Seems like the poor guy didn't get out soon enough. :/
The thing about politics is, you just can't stay away. It always pulls you back in.
