Captain America vs Kraven the Hunter
Let's see, one is the poster boy for Comic Book Peak Human, the other one regularly trades blows with Spider-Man.
How do you think this goes?
This one of those fights where Kraven should absolutely win on rumbles rules, but would definitely job out to Cap in a comic.
An absolutely enraged Peter Parker hauls off and punches an unresisting Kraven full force in the face.
Kraven’s head snaps back. He spits blood. He grins. That’s all.
I know where my money is going.

Pretty much

Absolutely. That is precisely what happened when Kraven fought Ka-Zar, on at least two separate occasions.

As you say. PIS off, Kraven should take Cap to pieces pretty handily.
What makes Kraven so strong exactly? I thought he was just a normal human?

He regularly drinks a special magic jungle potion which gives him enhanced physical abilities [strength/durability/senses] and slows his aging [the guy is over 70 but physically appears to be in his late 30s], he was also immortal for a bit after being resurrected from the dead.
He also has a chest laser thing built into his outfit sometimes.

Kraven's just always kinda been able to hang with Spider-man since the early days, and that's just been the norm even as Peter's gotten better feats while Kraven hasn't gotten any explicit power up.
So he's either a normal human the same way classic Kingpin is a normal human or he took some jungle drugs.
EDIT: Damnit, the great ninja Nik ninja'd me. As a side note, Kraven should used his weird chest laser clothes more often.
Other side note, original Kraven is dead again and a nearly identical clone who didn't go through Kraven's Last Hunt and a few other storylines is currently the one using the name. Just so everybody knows.

That's the exact one, yes - Kraven's Last Hunt. Love that scene.

Huh, I didn't know that. I heard OG Kraven had come back as immortal, with some stipulation that he could only be killed by a spider(-man) and then Kaine killed him and then restarted his heart to break the immortality curse.
How did he die permanently?

Wait.... Is that special potion the same type that Black Panther drank to become CBPH?

Oh, so he's Kraven the Iron-Man Hunter now eh?

No but it is conceptually quite similar.
Makes me wonder what pulp book inspired that aspect of both characters?
