Not sure what you mean here. There's parts where he runs out of ammo and grabs another gun. Which in this situation is a lot better than trying to reload. Unless you have unlimited ammo.
After reviewing the Shootem Up scene a second time, Smithbactuallybdoes not hit with some of his shots ( each shot that hits cuts to a guy, not all of them did.)
That’s not good enough for survival here.

The only guy he doesn't hit is the boss who's able to get behind cover for plot reasons. I'll take that over a guy who basically runs into a guy who shoots him close range.

To me...
What doesn't cost you against a group of "John Q Hired Gun..."? It will get you killed going up against the person he is squaring off again here.

But Gibson is doing the same thing in his clip lol. And hey if he runs into Smith's line of fire like he did that mook- his brain will def be escorted out of his skull with a headshot.

But the point is Gibson bullet times, with bullets. In that scene he is just berseeking like a moron. Here they are competent and using best of ability.
So Smith shots, Gibson shoots the bullet and makes it bounce into his head.

Past this...
The scenario being discussed winds up being the most like Wesley/Frost. When it came to that, the only thing that was keeping Frost in the running was that he was actually Wesley's better.
I just can't see Mr. Smith being able to hang in that sort of a scenario(which is about what we are discussing here...)
