Anyways, Misty/Colleen weren't introduced in the same issue and they've been separate.
I don't even know how you'd disqualify Tony/Rhodey, because they've never been bound to the same team, Rhodey can only very loosely be considered a sidekick (he's really more of an equal partner), and Rhodey has both been Iron Man (fun fact: Rhodey was the Iron Man seen in Secret Wars) and his War Machine ongoing actually outsold Iron Man's back in the '90s.
Ah. I cede your point on The Daughters of The Dragon. They were indeed introduced separately. Don't remember where Misty came from, but Colleen was part of Iron Fist's original cast IIRC.
Rhodey, however, was created as a component of Tony's narrative arc in Iron Man. He was basically created as an updated version of Happy Hogan (who also wore the armor). He's grown beyond that, but those were his roots.
It's an underappreciated and underused one:
Reed Richards and T'Challa
Ben Grimm is heartbroken. TT^TT
Who is Sues best friend ?

I mean I guess.
What about the other examples I gave?

You can have more than one best friend.
She doesn’t have one.

You can? I wouldn’t know ... barely made one decent friend TT^TT
Aww I can relate to Sue :p

I can't believe people missed this one:
Cable and Deadpool
Though I'm sure Cable wouldn't want to admit it...
However, does DP not count for having debuted as an antagonist to Cable's team in New Mutants #98, before largely developing elsewhere? I'm confused if this breaks the parameters or not.

Jean Grey and Storm
We need more sisterhood in comics.

It's Taskmaster and Black Ant. The Kraven story proved this. Two heroes getting along pales in comparison to two backstabbers having genuine affection for one another.

I’d have said Ben

While they were both temporary, I am quite a fan of Reptil-Mettle, and Herc-Cho. Howard the Duck and Tara were great, as were Kaine and Maria/Hummingbird.
Misty is from Iron Fist as well.
I’d have said Ben
I consider Ben a brother to the other members of the FF. It's kind of moved past the friend stage and he's 100% a part of the family. That's why I didn't say him and Reed.

If you read X-Men First Class, you'd know that Jean's best friend was the Scarlet Witch. They were on opposite sides, but they'd still go shopping together.

Did they not know each other's secret identities?
