This would've been the perfect series to bring Robert Weinberg back into finish his Askani plotlines for Cable (not his Apocalypse one, though). Unfortunately, he has long since passed away and the forum page where he described such plotlines is also kaput.
Oh I didn't realised he had died. That's terribly sad. I thought his Cable was brilliant and would have definitely loved reading more :/
The only story I want from that gap is how Betsy stole Jean's telekinesis and how Jean absorbed Betsy's telepathy.
That always seemed to me like a fun story to tell. I remember Claremont had planned it for that year's (2000?) annual and then it got replaced by something else, so it might have even been written already.

In X-Men Monday today Hickman implied that we are going to get a Louse AND Walter Simonson arc reaching back to their X-Factor days! That's so awesome!

Indeed! I’m looking more and more forward to this....
I would also love a few issues to bridge the gap between X-Factor #70 and Adjectiveless X-Men #1.

Same. Loved his Cable run. Also loved the Casey/Ladronn and Loeb/Skroce/Churchill runs before it too. That’s my Cable. Wish they’d bring him back and make him an important Marvel Universe character again.
What’s truly tragic is the fact that Duggan actually writes an incredible OG Cable, as evidenced by his Uncanny Avengers stint. *sigh*

I wonder if Hama will be writing a Generation X issue
-
I wish they'd let Claremont give the origin / back stories of some characters.
Like one issue for Nightcrawler, one issue for Rogue, one issue for Gambit, one issue for Sinister and such

Does anyone have any info if this is an ongoing or a limited series?

I believe its an ongoing, although it probably depends on the sales. I'd wager the first two Adam-X issues might not be as popular as the X-Factor issues, though, so it might take a bit to determine if this one will stay or not.

Ah cool, I thought that maybe the old writers will get a couple of issues each to wrap up some old plot lines and be done in around 12 issues.

still waiting for a storyline reveal I'm actually interested in.....

Cyclops and Havok's positions on the cover is weird

I sincerely doubt that third issue will sell more then first 2.
Big sales drop for #2 and #3 is a standart for comic books.
