I'm less upset about Pixie, as I really hated the sexification of her by Land and think is this more of a fitting look for her. I do think it's a shame that everyone else looks the same age as the Hound Twins, and Anole seems to be de-aging every issue he has been in lately. Is he the opposite of Velocidad?

I think it's just To's art style more than anything else. He tends to draw teens looking youthful, not as scaled-down adults. Or whatever tf it is that Land does.
I also hated that when they were sexualizing her, but Pixie and Armor got to graduate. Pixie was at least over 18 years old as they commented that she could not drink in America but in Wales she could.

[spoil]I keep trying to figure out why I don't like this book more. I mean, the art's fantastic, there's a fair amount of urgency to the plot, and it has a few characters I like. But I think it all comes down to everything revolving around Glob Herman. The AoXM books I'm really enjoying - Nightcrawler, Prisoner X, The X-Tremists - are all character dives, whereas the only character who really matters here is Glob. Everyone else is kind of interchangeable (save plot devices like Brisson's creepy twins). Like, give Santo's lines to Meggan and vice versa. Or make Vic the initial skeptic and Armor the rebel. It wouldn't make a huge amount of difference or read as "wrong" because none of their 616 characterization is given enough attention to reverberate here. What matters to this plot is a relationship they have to a character whom they barely interacted with previously, so it just doesn't have the impact that some of the other books have. I'm still liking it OK, for all the factors mentioned above, but there just aren't a lot of emotional stakes here for me.[/spoil]
