Melissa Mcbride will not be in the Daryl spinoff. Wonder if she's mad it might get overshadowed by Isle of the Dead?
Kind of makes you wonder if they might actually kill her off, and who will replace her in the series. Connie perhaps? Also Carol is "working" for Lance, which might not end well for her.

To be honest she should have died back in season 4
-
She likely will stay back and be a leader of the new world that comes about at the end. Daryl himself will travel and go off to find himself and do the UK deal.
-
I think Maggie takes on that role in the comic series but she's getting the Manhattan spin-off so it would make sense for Carol.
-
When does this come back for the final stretch of episodes till the end? Is it July sometime?
-
Fall. Probably October I would guess which would be kind of full circle as the original debuted in 2010 on Halloween.
-
That late? I was thinking/hoping for July.
I see the reasoning for likely October though.
Just as well, it'll give me a chance to watch a few other things.
-
It's probably to make room for the anthology series debuting in August, which will feature some prequel storylines like with Dee/Alpha (and presumabely Lydia as well), what happened in the plane in World Beyond etc.
Sonequa Martin Green and Chad Coleman have expressed interest in doing an episode with the Williams siblings, not sure if that will happen though.

Anybody watch the premiere? Episode had a few slightly unconventional set pieces, a car chase and a swarm of zombies vs an armed Jeep. Also Jerry & Carol try to protect the kids from fake Stephanie/Shira and Roman who are going after them presumably on Lance's orders. Also started with a bit of a "The story so far" narration/clips by Judith.
Also it seems that the commonwealth armor is just as useless as Star Wars stormtrooper armor....

For the troopers, it's useless. But when our heroes wear it, it deflects everything short of a nuclear blast.

Looks like the final villain of the series will be Pamela Milton, unless they adapt the finale of the comic with Hershel being kind of a villain (although more of a spoiled brat than a truly dangerous one).
-
Hershel, the pre-teen, isn't old enough to pose a threat or be villainous really. He's more or less a troubled kid acting out emotionally cause he can't cope and will not listen to anyone.
Pamela Milton is a threat in position only. Anyone could take her down quickly and lethally including Judith.

Guessing you haven't read the source material?
-
Oops, should have clarified. The comic jumps forward a few decades at the end, with society more or less semi-back to normal with the Walkers mostly cordoned off. However Hershel, now an adult, has a travelling circus show with Walkers, one of which gets loose and endangers Carl's family (Or in this case, could be Judith's or Rick Jr's?) which leads to a court case when Carl kills one of the Walkers. However since the spinoffs seem to probably be happening fairly close I don't know if they will adapt the timeskip.

Are we not speaking of the Hershel on the show, the son? That was my comment.
