So, if we take It's About Time to be canon, then Crash Bandicoot's real name is Crashworth Cortex the First.
Watching the latest Tremors film on netflix. Thoughts as I go
[spoil]
- This film takes a while to get Burt involved. !2 minutes in, and he isn't here. If I didn't know he was in it, I'd think they cut him.
-The jungle setting makes the Shriekers very raptor-y
-Apparently Burt's son Travis is in jail
-17 minutes in, we get our first look at Burt. But they're keeping it mysterious
-First Burt Dialogue is at 20 minutes. And he's playing castaway.
-I like that the Jon Heder character brings up the indiginous islanders before the researchers. Small touch, but I like it
- Burt Gummer: "Destiny's a bitch"
- So the lady doctor who sent for Burt is Travis's mom
- I'm pretty sure this video is from the series.
- Burt is gunless. But he does have machetes, and a flamethrower
- Comparing AssBlasters to a viral pandemic is kind of unsubtle.
- references to both Godzilla and Predator so far.
- New Shriekers look cool. And they've got a new trick
- Elephant eating Graboid
- Burt Gummer Day is a thing apparently. EDIT: Credits say it's April 14th, day after my Birthday
- Two mini-guns in this movie so far, that's nice
- I like Jon Heder's character. His opening scene made him look like a drunk fuck up, but once the shit hits the fan he's serious, competent, and empathetic.
- Turning a bomb shelter into a bomb. Nice thinking
- I like that Burt retains his empathy and respect for human life, even for people he detests
- "She's culling the weakest of the herd first", "Oh crap, that means I'm next"
- Bugs Bunny and Rambo references have come an gone
- "I thought we were going Rambo?", "You go Rambo, I've got the chainsaw, I'll go Evil Dead"
- Burt Gummer is riding a horse
-RIP Burt. ):
- Burt gets a credits montage
[spoil]They killed Burt?[/spoil]
[spoil]Yep. He went out pulling a Val, baiting a graboid into going off a clip, flipping the worm off as it swallowed him [/spoil]

Phantom Seer: Wow, eight chapters in and we're already getting a timeskip. I can't wait to see what Aibetsu's learned.

Huh, not even a training arc then.
I hope that doesn't indicate that it's doing poorly by whatever metric WSJ uses to keep a series going.
They're ruthless and I really want to see this thing keep going. It's fun.
I recently watched the film Underwater. I rather enjoyed it.

It was a surprisingly good film.
Until the last five minutes.

Nah. A new arc is beginning with Iori undertaking an assignment with his sister's wannabe boyfriend while Aibetsu is getting background training from his sister.
Cant wait for Sanderson’s next book either.
Just about to start Peace Talks. I’m a bit behind.
heh, man if you thought Changes shook the series up...
won't spoil it, just know that Peace Talks and Battleground is basically one book cut in halves so the end of one leads into the beginning of the other

one piece, 993: the people of wano party it up while the samurai are throwing down. the fights just keep going more intense by the page. and kaidoh is finally taking the kid gloves off.
