Eh, who knows with Marvel these days as they love to screw the fans and their characters. I'm still angry that the Batman/Catwoman wedding ended up not happening and Marvel still screwing Colossus around as always. All I can tell ya is "grain of salt".

Is Aunt Petunia still alive? I hope she scores an invite

Yike, that looks brutal. I recall also how when Ben joined the New Avengers with Luke Cage, he was even playing second fiddle in that one which IMO is ridiculous. Cage is strong but not THAT strong.
The most recent example is Secret Empire where he is downed in two hits.

She's not that old so, unless there was some event where she died, she's probably still around. I don't know if she appeared more than that one time.

Aunt Petunia was killed by the Master of Doom back in the mostly forgettable Mark Millar/Bryan Hitch FF run.

John Byrne said in the past that it would ruin the joke to have her appear again.

Yeah, I've never ever seen what Aunt Petunia looks like as Ben kept mentioning her several times and never got the issue where she appeared. She's surprisingly beautiful to be honest.
I can vaguely remember World War Hulk getting predominantly good reviews when it came out, and coming across an omnibus collection in the library.
Thankfully some sixth sense told me not to read it, I can see I would have been mightily vexed.
The sixth sense also helped when I baled out of Bendis Avengers run at an early stage, missing the even more vexatious scenes of Ben acting as look-out while Luke Cage did the heavy fighting.
I hadn't read this run, I'm a little shocked to see this.

That was pretty much the gag. For years, Ben would reference Aunt Petunia but she was never shown and Ben and Reed are middle-aged so it was natural ( for both readers and the other characters) to assume that his aunt must be some senior citizen. For her to turn out to actually be a cute younger woman was quite a twist.

Ben needs to call the whole thing off. Alicia trying to buy all those cats in issue one was a warning. :)

They can use Ben to sharpen their nails ;)

Men know that having your wife be a cat lady is far worse than facing Hulk, Dr. Doom, and Galactus.
Run, Ben, Run!!
