Congrats Kirby!
Is that a pocket sized book or full size? I honestly don't recall ever seeing it anywhere before.
Pocket size. And the panels are broken up, its not the comic pages reproduced as is, like in other Marvel paperbacks. As Shalla said, in black and white.

Interesting. I've got a few of the Marvel pocket books from that era. When I was a kid, these were sold in shopping mall bookstores and I tried to get as many as I could with scraped together pocket change from allowance, etc. The broken up panels thing is too bad, I always wonder why they do that as it seems kind of disrespectful to the artist and writer intent.
Hi Scott, it's a pocket book. It was published in 1982.
I just measured my book. Its height is close to 7 inches and the bottom is 4 inches across. LOL, this image I'm posting (using Kirby's image) is bigger than the book actually is!

Hey Shalla Walla!
Thats great, you have this one. Most of mine are the Simon and Schuster "Stan Lee Presents" series which were direct reprints of stuff like early Spider-Man, Hulk, Conan, Dr. Strange and FF. I looked and couldn't find other titles in the Marvel Illustrated Books series. Wonder if this was the only one.

Hi Scott! I looked it up and evidently there were 16 books in this "Marvel Illustrated Books" series, all from 1981-2. Here are a couple of links for more info:
