He doesn't have his powers yet in that scene.

That's no excuse..A brave child does what he does power or no power.Batcave ain't got nothing on "fortress"...it's supposed to be "my dad can kick your dad's ass..and i can yours"..not "your dad is sooo coool damian" blah!
You know, for all the **** I give Tom Taylor, I have to thank him for making Jon bi because now BoSS stars a bisexual boy and makes this article a reality.
It's absolutely important. LBGTQ+ children are disturbingly under a cultural assault in this country, so to have a queer character like the kid-version of Jon Kent has enormous potential to be impactful. Frankly, I think keeping Jon a kid in the comics and making him queer would have been a way more impactful symbol than aging him up and doing it. Being queer is about more than who you're currently dating, and I feel that's a texture that gets pretty lost in a lot of media, new Superman comic included.

That's not really the point...where is the rivalry?

Why they continue to put Cassie in their age group is still unknown
Because she's still the youngest Wonder Girl, there isn't one for Damian's generation in the comics. Yara turned out to be 21 years old, but Cassie apparently is a couple of years younger. They screwed up Yara's backstory, probably didn't want to de-age her too much from her Future State self. And unfortunately Cassie totally no-showed Future State so there's no reference there to use for comparison.

I wish they had gone with the inverted color scheme

I liked the blue and black one. Supersons looks like a fun film.
I wish they had gone with the inverted color scheme
Maybe his costume colours should be changed to something like that? It would help make him more of his own person, instead of copying his Dad's look. Especially once Clark's back on Earth. It would also differentiate him from Kara. Now that she's wearing pants and short hair, she looks enough like Jon that someone mis-coloured her as him in Dark Crisis: Young Justice #1!

The British Board of Film Classification has revealed the full title of the Battle of the Super Sons movie as Batman & Superman: Battle of The Super Sons.

Has there been any confirmation they've explicitly identified the kid-version of Jon as queer in this movie?

Going by the looks of it, not sure if that kind of thing will even come up.
