It’s so depressing how little DC cares about their hispanic characters. I’m not even talking about ongoing series or minis featuring Latino characters (currently ZERO), but just the splash pages and ads featuring the DC heroes. Images that promote upcoming events usually feature a big roster of heroes. Occasionally they’ll throw Jessica behind Hal and John but most of the time there isn’t a brown face to be seen. It’s gotten so bad that this is really what I’m begging for at the moment. A tiny image of Blue Beetle, Vibe, El Diablo, etc in the background of a splash page.
I feel you. Every splash page, I keep a look out for the likes of Jaime, Cisco, Derek or even Chato, and every time I'm left disappointed as they're no where to be found.
If history tells us anything, Jaime will get another shot soon, either late this year or early next year, since Sideways was cancelled. But still, you'd think he'd at least pop up in Young Justice, yet here we are...
Blue Beetle - El Diablo - Blue Beetle - Vibe - Blue Beetle - Sideways - Blue Beetle (?)
That's been the pattern so far when it comes to Latino men.
For the women its been:
Fire - Aquagirl - Renee Montoya - Fire - Black Orchid - Jessica Cruz
They've all been team players, except for Jessica who has held her own book. Though it seems only Jessica can get any panel time lately.
I wrote up an idea for a cast for a dc series about protecting the multiverse. Vibe was one of the characters.

Thoughts?
That’s an awesome and diverse lineup. I really wish DC would use Vibe the way they use him on The Flash tv show and how he was revamped during the New 52.

I'm going to add Crazy Jane to the list of Latino heroes since the show just confirmed that she is a Latina. We'll see if the comics follow suit, though in the latest comics (Doomsday Clock) they've drawn her to look more like Diane Guerrero.

Don't forget to add Miguel from the current Dial H for Hero series. (Which I have to say, I'm really enjoying)!

Apparently, we'll see twice as much more of Miguel from Dial H for Hero : https://amp.pastemagazine.com/articles/2019/06/surprise-dc-comics-dial-h-for-hero-wonder-twins-bo.html

I was wondering if I could get anyone's thoughts on the character Lourdes Lucero aka La Encantadora. She was a Superman villain who possessed the "Mists of Ibella", a mystical mist that granted her magical powers of teleportation, pheremone manipulation and illusions. She did eventually decide to go straight.

Late response, but I just wanted to reiterate here that I'm happy his book is getting 6 more issues. Miguel has proven to be quite endearing, and relatable in just the right way for a character in a Superhero comic. He's hardworking and his life circumstances aren't the best. He has a daredevil side he's cultivated as a means of taking a semblance of control. But in spite of all that, Miguel's an optimist at heart and it shines through easily, even in some of the most dire situations he finds himself in and no matter how cynical he might outwardly present at times; it's why he looks up to Superman without question. Miguel's also charming and charismatic (part of it comes from his daredevil self), which helps contribute to what makes him so endearing.

we have confirmation from Joshua Williamson that August Heart/Godspeed is in fact Latino. I believe this makes him the first latinx speedster in DC.

So according to wikipedia, Andrea Rojas (Acrata) will be the main villain in Supergirl season 4.
Yikes.

She reminds me of a Bang Baby from Static Shock (was it the same character?).

Ya'Wara was an interesting character that definitely caught my attention.
