permanently remove the cosmic rocks, just have her be strong/durable, and she can be a mentor for youth Avengers.

Instead of a mentor let The Forgotten Ms. Marvel become a member of either the super hero team Defenders, Fantastic Force or HEROES FOR HIRE!

Great idea.

Then she just falls into the super strong female category like She Hulk. I would say to give her some sort or energy manipulation/flight type powers.
if she becomes human (but powered) again someday, I hope she can be part of a team. And a friendly meeting with Kamala.
Agreed. I enjoyed her '80s team-up with Cap (616):

Too bad it wasn't meant to last, though :(

To the utmost, I agree. I really enjoyed reading about her before that whole cosmic ray mess even started...

curious. this sequence highlights "male-based trauma" that figured as a major subtext to her portrayals back then. With the 21st century pop-fiction's exploration of trauma/PTSD with various stories, I'm wondering if this would be revisited.

Appreciate the effort but that is Carter, not Ventura.
I could see Deborah Ann Woll playing Sharon V.

Since I love Deborah Ann Woll soooooo much, yes please!
Although I could also see Deborah Ann playing a terrific Jean Grey! I definitely want her for Jean.
I think Sharon is still in some sort of She-Thing state.
I never minded this, (FF era) because the art was good enough and it was an interesting twist on Ben's story of feeling unloved and ugly. Since the condition is so similar to Ben's, I wonder if anyone, Reed?, thought that they could better cure her based on the research and experiments on Ben over years.
I would settle for being two formed and able to change back and forth, with both forms having increased powers but She-Thing brings the clobbering, so to speak.
The most recent appearance I found of Sharon is in Nick Spencer's Captain America: Sam Wilson #15 (2016). She just appears at the end of a story that featured Unlimited Class Wrestling group she performed with. She just has a one panel appearance and there is not explanation for her being her old self again. I'm glad it happened and I hope it wasn't some other wrestler is using her outfit. It's just the one panel appearance and was never explained.
