but if they all die at the same time, there is no coming back
I would hope that Xavier has made provisions for that. It would make more sense for the Five to have already made husks for themselves in case that were to happen, which are placed in stasis, ready for Cerebro to transfer their memories into
I have to admit, it's funny that Rachel only got a few panels and a mention in the floor plan and it inspired us to talk for a few pages.
It makes me happy to know that there so many people who appreciate Rachel even when she only gets moderate development.
at least she hasnt been brainwashed, at least not yet. I'll roll my eyes if its revealed that this is what Xavier did with her, but I guess at least she wouldnt be the only victim this time

Hmm, makes sense.

As posted in the other thread.
Cullen Bunn reveals that his first pitch for Uncanny X-Men 2015 was not a Magneto-led book. It was a Rachel-led book. It got far enough for some concept art to be made.
In 2015, I was asked to take over UNCANNY X-MEN. We all know that yielded the Magneto-led team. My first pitch, however, was a cosmic team with Rachel Summers in charge and a new Captain Britain. My pal
@brihurtt
even worked up a few concepts. Take a look! #xmen
Agreed. This would have been so much better than the absolute insane crap they dumped on her.

That Psylocke Cap Brit outfit is BAH-LANCED. Simplifying the Union Jack into an elegant costume is not easy.

I echo the the sentiments of RachelGrey said. It's great that Rachel only had a few panels and we are talking about it. Pages of stuff. So good. I hope that maybe people are paying attention and they take notice of the feedback and the discussion with only a few panels. The stuff from Cullen Bunn would have been an Excalibur's fan dream come true but what can you do. It's like the failed comic series that was supposed to show the time Rachel spent with Mojo. We can't hate what never happened, just that it never happened.

The other day I was bored and I started to see the different topics of the cbr forum about marvel comics, it's funny, there are characters with more presence in the comics that their threads are dead, or have little activity, for example Betsy (Psylocke) has strong presence in the comics but her forum has 97 pages, Polaris, which is now present in several series even in PoX / HoX has only 68 pages, X23 has only 56 has had its own series and now in fallen angels, then Rogue and Illiana their Threads do not have much activity, of all these characters Rachel's thread is the most active of all, surpassed by Storm and Jean Grey. They are only data of pages of the thread and a personal appreciation, but it is still ... curious.

It's probably because peripherally Rachel is intertwined with Jean, Scott, Cable, and Kate Pryde. Because her character history is so deeply intertwined with Jean, Scott, and Cable she impacts the stories of those characters as well. In the same vein the stories of Jean, Scott, and Cable also impact Rachel's story even more because they are the family she so desperately wants to be connected to.
It's because of this that Rachel's thread sometimes brings in people from Jean, Scott, and Cable's fans who want to talk about her interactions with one or all three of those characters. It generates more posts because of that. There is also the fact that Rachel is kind of the Hamlet of the X-Men, her whole story is about tragedy and suffering. Even when things start going moderately well for her then M-Day and Decimation happens, or the Death of the Greys, or she ends up in a war with her Uncle Vulcan, or a war with the Avengers. Lol, Rachel is one of those characters that really has a hard time catching a break.

I made the same conclusion since I were on cbr. Rachel had more active thread after Jean & Ororo's ones. So, why Marvel didn't care about the 3rd most popular X-lady?

For str8 guyz you mean? Blond+surgery=porn. So, I don't think her popularity is TRULY based on her unique presence.

Umm, Emma has a lot of fans that aren't straight guys. I am one of them. I don't even want to get into this argument here in Rachel's thread, but Emma Frost's popularity is a lot more than her just being an attractive character.
-
I think the amount of pages and posting have a variety of factors. For instance, 10-12 years ago Rachel was one of the most hated x-characters on this board. Like almost a daily trollage from posters who frequented the boards on her appreciation thread, and then to truly be mean girls they started bullying fans on our off-board appreciation site. So she's a ways in terms of how she is viewed here on CBR.
RG hits so great points as its her familial connection and friendships to so many popular characters, plus there are constant retreads of stories and themes Rachel is associated with. And then the past two years have been really active due to her mistreatment in the books. Nothing riles us up more than hounding Rachel Grey 4x in a year.

Psylocke(in Kwannon's body) is in the same position as Emma. Both are oversexualized to please str8 audience. Each str8 guyz I know and on forums refer this 2 women as "fuckable" and they remember them ONLY for their physical attributes. Bestsy/Kwannon & Emma are seen like that and they are popular for this reason even if you disagree with this.
