Thank you for answering for Tenebrae. “Team” is a specific kind of ensemble book. These books are something else, something broader. The notion that it has to feature the whole “squad” seems outdated. That’s my point.
Exactatiously.
I like that individual characters get focus with specific intent (as Kate and Sebastian have so far) apart from engaging the team MO of saving mutants, ensuring drug distribution etc.
It does remind me of Claremont when he had really specific character arcs/development/focus withing the overarching plot.
And I don't mind that Duggan is reserving single issues to attend to the character focus...because I really do like ALL the characters used so far. I hope we get one featuring St. John and one featuring Christian as well.
Luckystar, where do we meet to get saved by the Marauders?
Northeastern coast is definitely for lovers!
Also Bostanaro enforcing death penalty on young mutants seems perfectly in character. lmao
Next panel : "Oh... Good thing I have this power dampening maracas right in my pocket"
why not at this point? We've already had power dampening collars, mech suits, rockets, and goo at this point :p

Low key confirmed storm can understand Portuguese.

Is that why I'm enjoying him so much.
Storm’s hair is its own character.
Lmao.
Hope The MCU knows it too.
In each panel that hair is breathing.
Fish is cool.
I second this.

In fairness, Power Dampeners and Psi-Blockers would presumably be the first thing* developed in response to mutants, and are probably the thing keeping A.I.M. going at this point
*for those of us who aren’t armchair anthropologists playing at programming killer robots

I'd better wait till the actual release before I put my foot in my mouth with musing on international relations and immigration and junk
Storm stole the show here
I love me some storm but Fish stole the show for me.
When he wouldn't abandon his friends I was like "that's what's up."
And when he was ready to die I was like "yo this kid the real deal."

Can’t wait to read all the wonderful thinkpieces about how Krakoa is mind-controlling all the mutant kids and Storm and the Marauders are absolutely evil murderers for using their powers on these unsuspecting, poor humans.

Damn straight! That's one of the things I'm really liking about Mauraders, X-Men, and New Mutants.

Fish deserves a spot on the Quiet Council.
