And it is not necessarily a good thing. That's how you can have contradiction in the DC Universe...
I hope he is smart enough to avoid that.
That’s true. In Snyder’s case though, it seems like he just really wanted Death Metal to be as free from 5G so he could tell an epic story similar to Dark Knights: Metal without being hindered by a quota.

I guess it makes sense, what with him seeming set to take over main creative control over Diana.

Does he have your vote of confidence?

Well, Metal was fun for what it was, and Snyder's done okay by Diana as far as I'm concerned. He's no Rucka but he's better than most.
I never wanted or needed a sequel to Metal, but I guess it'd be cool to get a little more time with the evil Wonder Women we briefly saw. I'd normally expect a little more depth and heart for Diana than Metal, which was basically just a mindless 80's thrash metal album with superheroes (Diana demands subtly and depth, like Tool or Metallica), but it might make for a fun ride.

The nightmare Wonder Women being under-utilized was my biggest (only) complaint about Metal, so hopefully this fulfills the promise of those brief appearances. I assume Death Metal is whatever will spin out of JL/Hell Arisen, so it should be about time to see solicits for Death Metal or its prologue (like Dark Days)

Wonder Woman finally makes an appearance in Superman/Batman, the book where they’re taking on the mystery behind the Batman Who Laughs’ infection, which is a direct fallout from Snyder’s Dark Knights: Metal.
Maybe this’ll tie into Death Metal! At the very least, she deserves to be with them in this story, they’re the trinity. Plus, I finally get what I’ve been asking for: David Marquez drawing Wonder Woman!

First look at Diana in the Death Metal/Metal 2 sequel book by Snyder.

Looks like she really is the main character! Yay!

Is that the Batman who laughs' helmet on her knee?

Nice catch, I was to busy looking at...I guess I'll call it the chainsaw of truth?

It kinda looks like Diana has Nth metal highlights in her hair.

Going to make it a point not to pick-up this series!! Not into dark and evil version of WW!! Writer today really like dragging heroes down into the gutter, degrading them!!
-
I don't think he's going for "dark and evil." Just metal
-
She’s mainly fighting evil monsters. It’s not like she can fight them with truth and love.
