The most powerful character would be Superman.

That's pretty good. I might nominate The NRA, but still pretty good.
I didn't read the bottom part of your first post, but, yes, that's a good one. :)
Nothing is more powerful than the IRS.
Geoff Johns. Apparently no one's allowed to go against his wishes.
shouldn't dan diddio be a contender for this title?
This thread is actually about the District of Columbia and should not have been moved away from the general forum.

To be fair, it might have been clearer if the title used "the D.C.'s" instead of DC. But yeah, this is a tricky thread.
I'd suggest Lobbyists, they seem to have their hands in everything.

The NRA or any other advocacy/lobbying group are not in the same universe as the IRS, IMO.
No more need be said.

Sean Hannity, since apparently the PotUS dances on his strings. Although I don't think he is in D.C. very much.

In that vein, maybe Steve Miller? Since he masterminded so many of Trump's worst projects.
I mean, we all laugh, but the IRS has been pretty gutted and can't effectively track the wrongdoing of the tax avoiding ultra wealthy due to it.

Remember when the Panama papers came out and showed a kind of actual conspiracy of many ultra rich to not pay their share of taxes, and nothing happened?
