Cowboys defensive tackle Antwaun Woods was arrested for processing weed. Another hit for America's team.
I think it's kind of silly to not consider Darth Hoodie with what that defense is doing this year. They are staring at #1 all-time, top 5 at worst.
Whoa, dude. 'Top 5 at worst', all time? Is this the same Hoodie that just got his ass beat by the Texans? Cats was walking TD's and trick plays in on them. Isn't that strictly a statistical argument because on the ground, their biggest margins of victory were a 43-0 shutout against Miami, 33-0 shutout against the J.E.S.T. They allowed 10 combined points against the Skins and Steelers but 3/4 of these teams were the worst in the league. Never mind all of this occurred before the Ravens took it to them. Less said about the Dallas and Philly efforts against the Pats the better, a strong argument can be made that really NOONE should win the NFC Least this season (even though I'm still sticking with Jerruh as best of the worst). I've seen a couple really tough defenses over the years and this Pats one doesn't pass the eye test... does it? Does anyone think they'll WIN the Superbowl, that was a pretty much a foregone conclusion with the 85 Bears and 2000 Ravens.
Tom Brady is also having the greatest QB season for a 42 year old ever, ONLY because there hasn't ever been a 42 year old QB so

I do, however, agree with Kyle. He has really turned that team around on both ends of the ball.
In mind mind, barring a collapse, he should win.
Its a good defense but not even remotely an all time defense.
They played a bunch of BAD teams with bad offenses early in the season creating the illusion that the defense was all world. Steelers, Dolphins, Jets twice, Redskins, Giants, and Browns. Not a single great offense in that group. They did hold the Bills to 10 pts but the Bills are a defensive team first and foremost. The Cowboys offense has been exposed as very inferior when playing a halfway competent defense. The Eagles offense has been very putrid lately. The two competent offenses they've played in the Ravens and Texans moved the ball at will against them.

George Blanda was 48 and still playing QB when he finally retired.
More recently Vinnie Testaverde and Doug Flutie played til they were 43 and Warren Moon and Steve Deberg til they were 44.
But no they won't win the superbowl unless Antonio Brown gets reinstated and he and Patriots kiss and makeup. The Pats offense is bad and Brady while still good no longer can elevate lesser receivers and right now all he has is Julian Edelman. The defense isn't good enough to to make up for it as the Ravens, Chiefs, Texans, and even the Titans should they meet in the playoffs will have little problem with them.
Shanahan or Payton will win it.
However I want to give some love and consideration to Brian Flores of the Dolphins. They have the least talented roster in the NFL and its not even close. They have maybe 4 players who have actually played this year (Xavien Howard is on IR) that might be good enough to be starters on some of the other teams - Ryan Fitzpatrick, Devante Parker, Mike Gesiecki, and Christian Wilkins. But even these four would just just be backups on most teams.
While they floundered early in the season if you've watched the Dolphins play the last 5 games you will notice that despite the talent level they are damn competitive now. Flores has this team playing way way better than they should be and is actually winning games they shouldn't now. The Dolphins may well win 6 games as they have winnable games against the Bengals, Giants, and Jets coming up plus a week 17 game against the Patriots where the Pats could be resting players. That is amazing coaching for a team many predicted to go 0-16 and a hopeful sign for the next few years when the team reloads through the draft and free agency.
It will never happen, but you make some good points. Flores really has the team playing competitively after an early start that made a lot of people think the team should be dropped out of the NFL.
Oh and tampering with evidence
Here's from the article citing the police report-the tampering was because he extinguished a joint in a water bottle after the police had started to pull him over for speeding...
Woods was caught speeding on radar going 77 mph in a 60 mph zone, which led the police to follow him. Once Woods stopped, the arresting officer said in the police report that Woods had glassy eyes and "had delayed responses to simple questions."
According to the police report, Woods told the officer he was smoking the marijuana cigarette when the police car's lights were flashing and extinguished it in a water bottle, leading to the tampering charge that is a third-degree felony.
Woods was found to have 2.07 ounces of marijuana in two glass mason jars and a small gold cylinder as well as "multiple pieces of drug paraphernalia." The possession charge is a Class A misdemeanor.
Kyle Shanahan is a good contender for coach of the year. With how he's made that team compete thus far.

The up and coming Bills vs the rolling Ravens should be interesting.

Kinda funny. If the NFL operated like European soccer federations, Miami would’ve been in danger of being relegated to a lower tier league after the season. Considering most pundits had the Tankfish going 0-16, Flores does have them playing hard, they damn sure impressed my Eagles after pantsing them over the weekend.

Belichick has zero chance of winning any awards this season. Coach of the Year is better named "Coach who most defied expectations this year", and anyone who contends year after year can never do that.

A San Francisco radio show host said that dark skin with a dark football gives Lamar Jackson an advantage at faking handoffs. And ... he was suspended for it.
