the runner vs Starfox
the various runner rumble threads made me make this one when I started to think about who has the more stronger euphoria inducing psionic powers between these two cosmic dudes? so in this scenario they both try their emo mojo on each other. who comes on top solely based on this criteria?
-
The Runner is, in general, a considerably more powerful being, and his psionic power works by default, whereas Starfox has to activate his.
Ergo, the Runner wins this.
-
We used to have a phrase for how a thread like this would end.
I hated it, but it was rarely more appropriate than this.

well pendaran would disagree probably :p as the runner was never able to incapacitate his opponents using his ability whereas star fox has used his abilities many many times to end the conflict outright by incapacitating his opponent with sheer pleasure or otherwise removing the desire to continue the conflict. it's possible he could do the same here provided he is able to get it activated and I don't think the runners ability is powerful enough to prevent that. maybe experience may come into play as a advantageous factor for the runner but perhaps starfox has the more powerful ability going by feats.

why the subtlety? tell us how you feel this thread ends candidly. :p it's not like this thread is my masterpiece or magnum opus. you are free to tear it down. :p

That’s not the point - I’m not being critical.
Some threads just used to devolve to “Ends in sex.” but that got thankfully nixed.
I could easily see this Rumble ending there though.

sorry about that. :D guess it's been too long since I came across that joke so the obvious implication about how the rumble could end given the opponent's powers didn't strike me till it was too late.

I think both combatants have had people power through their stuff before.
Starfox uses it more reliably as a thing that can stop opponents, so im going with him.

silly me! especially since I had read the ruling yet the obvious result of this rumble still escaped me. guess I hadn't considered the other implications of their powers seriously while making this thread which is precisely why they are so insidious as opponents. :p

yes starfox does come across as the obvious winner. guess this wasn't much of a rumble. this is what comes from following your lead. I place the blame of the whole messy thread on Arbiter though he may ban me from service in his establishment. :p
