Did you mean an abusive woman?
The Marvel Max line did a slightly different take on Man-Thing.

Strange Man-Thing story from Marvel Comics Presents #12, and I don't mean strange in a good way.

I was against Man-Thing on the Thunderbolts at first, it seemed like they were only using him as their teleportation device and keeping him in a make-shift zoo until he was needed, but after reading issue #154 their point about him being a former scientist and male so he enjoys the adventure, has a kind of attraction to Moonstone, and could actually leave at any time, I've changed my opinion.

A decent Man-Thing solo from Thunderbolts #154 with Jennifer Kale as a guest star.

[QUOTE=Captain Craig;2083819]If an appreciation page didn't exist then it's a shame it took this long for one to be created. Man-Thing is a character I loyally follow so when he shows up somewhere I get the title, even if I never did before. Example: Thunderbolts from about 5yrs back, which by the way was one of the longest and best continually uses of the character in modern times. He was given a great character arc over the 3-4yrs he was in the book and when they finally gave him the ability to speak I found that brilliant. Then, sadly, with only one exception all appearances of Man-Thing since that run he's been returned to his mute self. Granted, that's the original version and the one I first loved but they made his transition so organic in Thunderbolts to being able to speak.
He should've been a major spotlight character in Howling Commandoes, with his voice, instead of having Orrgo as part of the mix that took away. Too many big bulky monsters.

Man-Thing aka Vogurnus Koth evolved to being able to speak the universal language and then nothing is ever heard about it again.

Fear Itself: Fearsome Four (2011)
You would think having Howard and Man Thing re-unite would be cool, well, you'd be wrong. The actual premise, Manny going on a rampage due to the increased amount of fear spreading across the nation is interesting, but the way it was handled came across as lackluster. Maybe if the Fearsome Four had characters who had a connection to Ted/Manny it might have been entertaining.

Franken-Castle - Punisher (2009 series)
Lots of this run didn't make sense, hell, most of it didn't make sense, especially Man-Thing being a part of it (Manny on a council? Really?), but having said that, I loved it.

Franken-Castle - Punisher (2009 series)
Not sure if Remender didn't fully research Man-Thing or just decided to have some fun with him but it sure looks weird seeing him at a Legion of Monsters meeting.

Howling Commandos of S.H.I.E.L.D. (2015)
This was pretty bad. They never explained how they caught Man-Thing, how they managed to contain him or why he's helping them.

Writer spent too much time on Duggan and not enough time on the monsters.
