Thanks for posting those pages from that 12-part mini, which I believe was called The Worlds' Greatest Comics Magazine. I was trying to remember all the instruments of power Doom kept trading up to in order to conquer Galactus to achieve his goal.

This mini was truly a love letter, although it's fun that Doom was way overpowered.I mean, only the cosmic cube would be enough to conquer the universe. Then again,Doom wants it all.The power is his by right!!!

I think it was something Erick Larsen put together during the year of the Fantastic Four's 40th anniversary.
Two years ago was Doctor Doom's 50th anniversary. It would have been cool if Marvel had marked the occasion somehow but they only do that for titles. The recent issues of Ultimate Fantastic Four did a sort of shout out to it by making Ultimate Doom's inmate nbr 7-5-1962 IIRC.
The thread is back!!!The master is back!!!All hail Doom!!The Lion of Latveria and the Master of the Universe!!!

Wow! I love that full page pic of Doom announcing his arrival! We need that in the first post.

Sadly, I have come to the conclusion that we can't wait for Marvel to do these things. They seemed only concerned with the movie characters. We have to make our own celebrations.

Yes, you are right about that. It is even more depressing IMO that the FF characters, and of course Doom and any mention of Latveria belongs to Fox. That casting announcement sounds so unimpressive to me and they are obviously going to be the Ultimate version. Since we know Mark Millar is consultant you gotta figure he's got his hand in that. I want the Lee / Kirby version if they are going to make Doom goat-legged!
BTW if anyone is interested, I've been making PDFs of the pages of the old thread to save for posterity. I know there were some very well written posts by fans like you nomadic writer, Miss Fantastic or Doomscribe (at least we have his reading list here!) and other posters (forgive me if I don't remember you all!) Unfortunately, the fan art that was posted will have to be reposted since CBR is not including that in the archive version. I think it just has the links.
The Wing of DOOM™ is Complete! Save for a little bit of touch-up paint, the receptacle of excess and homage to the Master himself has finally been completed. I've also not yet received the gigantic new Sideshow statue, but I trust it is on it's way and will find an honored spot .... somewhere.
Part 1: The entrance, where a stoic greeter awaits (pardon the dust)

Then the stairs up to the new Den of Madness¸¸™

Top of the stairs

The painting on the left is an original piece by legendary Marvel artist Marie Severin, based on the original Secret Wars.
Then the hallway on either side of the bathroom door, holds part of the 2099 section:

Entering the Den of Madness™ one finds a cubby with stacks of un-filed comic books and long boxes holding the entire history of the Lord of Latveria. Also some empty boxes and extra Doombots™ packed away for safe keeping. (I may put some cabinet doors over the opening here, as it is a little unsightly).

Then ... one side of the room ...

Then the other side of the room ... where the Master's presence dominates in all his glory!

More Doctor Doom than you could possibly imagine existing together all in one place ...

Your collection is fantastic!
Fantastic collection.Worthy of the glory of the future Emperor of the World.
Awe inspiring! When you get that Sideshow Doom, you should submit this to CBR's Shelf Porn feature on the front page. There are so many things I've not seen before. Is that Doom 2099 figure something that was custom made? I love all your prints going up the stairs, etc. Where did you get those from?
Wow! That is pretty impressive and pure dedication in action.
Call Guinness. Surely that's a record. Most Doom's in one place. Biggest Doctor Doom collection ever.
Congrats, its an amazing collection, marvelously displayed.
I feel this thread needs more pictures. And merchandise. :D
I REALLY need to get this shirt before my next convention.

Wow, they still make that shirt? (Although, they are still selling the I am Doctor Strange design too.)
Count me in as a fan of the nefarious Doctor.

The many times I've almost bought that shirt.
I'm sure Namor and Doom will be allies ... until they are not. LOL!
No, I meant, I hope Doom isn't jobbed to Black Swan, like the rest of the Illuminati have been. Though ... if Iron Maiden and I are correct about the Science Priests and the Mage whatevers, Black Swan may actually be respectful of Doom.
I'd like Doom and Namor to interact. And, should he appear in NA, I hope he's not jobbed by BS.
My favorite recent Doom was the first arc in Brubaker's The Winter Soldier. Doom and Nick Fury Sr. were at each other's throats. It was a lot of fun.
