I'm honestly surprised no one in the JLA uses that term. Particularly given how often Batsy tends to talk down to everyone.
Congratulations!
Maybe it would lean a bit too hard onto the fourth wall for DC's taste, and with an implied critique of the character that is DC's golden goose.
I prefer the simpler batsplaining myself, and I used it here to describe Batman's attempt to lecture Wonder Woman about magic in a recent JLD.

Thanks! It was the first one that sprang to mind. It's one story I've always wanted to read, but I think I've only seen a panel or two.
If you get the chance, you should. It's a great story, and a lot of fun.

Good going, Nschornhorst! Thanks to Enigmatic Undead and worstblogever for voting for my cover, too.

Grats Nschornhorst!
and thanks to all who voted !

Congratulation to Nschornhorst for a delightful cover which definitely counted in the final vote. One has to wonder about the actors would would best portray these detective characters in a movie, though.
And now, the captain has learned much about the legal definitions of the piublic domain this week. The public domain character is a way to compare charcters who wouldn't necessarily team-up, but instead see how they might interact with a third party. The variety of the covers this week, as always, impressed me.
And thanks to Kai "The Spy" for the vote and the contest suggestion.
My vote is for Nschornhorst and that pairing of famous detectives. By the by, how long do you figure it would take Holmes to deduce that Batman was Bruce Wayne? I'd say thirty seconds, and that's a conservative estimate!
It's not estimated how long it took him to figure it out, but he knows, and Batman smiled about it.
