I hope Bendis wasn't allowed to contribute...
I'll second that!;)
Peace
Let us know what you think when you finish (and I hope you're feeling better). I love that issue.
Thanks!
I read the issue and LOVED IT.
I thought #18 was pretty awesome as well.
Now onto volume 3 (didn't read the X-Men #109 in the trade because I've already read it, but I may go back to stare at Mac).
Alpha Flight Dojinshi Style! IIRC, these were done by Yujin Ishikawa

Love them!
I would love to see another Alpha Flight ongoing, but I would be perfectly content with a maxi-series. Style it like Byrne's run, each issue focusing on a single character, then wrap it all up in the end. Except no deaths please!

I'm glad your signature says who you were, I was hoping Gary Cody would find his way back. :)
I like those, especially the second one.
BTW, I really hate for the Alpha Flight from the beginning thread to disappear, but copy/pasting here doesn't make sense either. I also hate it was never finished. :(
Remember the Ultimate version of Alpha Flight. I really wish we could have seen more of them because I loved their Snowbird. My fan theory was she is actually Shaman's daughter, so a merge of Narya and Elizabeth. I wish Byrne had done the same, I don't love the idea of a white/blonde Inuit demi-goddess.

I just got these today, so I guess I'll find out if they're any good. :D

Anyone read them?
If so, did you find they were good?

So good! I absolutely loved them.

Awesome!
I am hoping I can get them read!
I read issues #20 up to, I think, #23 last night.
I cannot quit this series. It just keeps getting better and better and BETTER. I keep waiting for it to get worse and kind of start dying off, but it's doing the exact opposite.

They are excelent, but you really should have gone for the Asgardian Wars TPB that collects this and the X-Men/ New Mutants annuals that make the sequel. Though Alpha is not in the following adventures, it has BEAUTIFUL Art Adams art, and to this thay it is still one of my favorite TPBs in my collection (which is about 3000 big - just in collected editions). Great read!
Peace

*sigh*
If I had known they were collected in a TPB, I would have gotten it. :(
Oh well!
I'll probably get that TPB anyway because someone else recommended it to me for another reason (not Alpha Flight related), but I think when I went to purchase it, I found it not in print, and used copies were going for more than what I was willing to pay for it at the time.
I'll check again.

There's a new edition due out in a couple of months. Check Amazon to see what the pre-order discount is.
And yeah, outside of the Byrne run, the first XM/AF crossover has some of my favorite Flight moments in it.

But I think I will just add it to my wishlist so that I can receive a reminder ahead of time. :D Thanks!
I am on issue #25. I JUST finished #24, and I'm getting ready to start #25, I should say. I think Not-Guardian comes back? Or no?
I cannot stop reading this series. I'm already half way through volume 3 which I started last night.
It keeps getting BETTER.
I never want it to end.
