Jim Lee is THE X-men artist...you heathens....

Quoted for truth! :)
There's something timeless about Jim Lee's character designs. His art created the "definitive" look for a lot of the mainstays on the team. Which is why I'm willing to forgive some of his excesses, that were typical of early-90's comic book art e.g. over-sized muscles, female characters sporting "Barbie Doll" measurements, endless pouches, etc.
I love Matsuda's Havok:
I remember this era of X-Factor. His art wasn't something I usually went for but it grew on me and I even looked forward to his issues. Of course his Havok was probably the best part but I thought his redesign of Polaris was pretty cool too.
Speaking of X-Factor artists I really liked Joe Quesada. I know that's pretty taboo to say. I think his Havok is pretty cool as well and I always loved his Quicksilver.

Why taboo? I think Quesada is pretty good, I like his art very much. Just his excess drawing hair annoys me a little bit.

I wish Jae Lee had stuck around on X-Factor after X-Cutioner's Song but Quesada's stuff wasn't bad
-
Agreed. The creative team of Joe Quesada & Peter David on X-Factor is classic.
It's nice to know that Joe Q. really made something of himself during the intervening years:

Chris Bachalo is my favorite X-Artist and that's acknowledging that every run of his wasn't great. But when he's on, there is nothing more exhilarating or addictive than seeing him soar with my favorite mutants.
-
Michael Choi and Sana Takeda.

There are so many amazing artists that have worked in X-Men and related titles; here is my too 20 in no particular order:
Neal Adams
Dave Cockrum
John Byrne
Paul Smith
John Romita Jr
Art Adams
Alan Davis
Barry Windsor Smith
Bill Sienkiewicz
Marc Silvestri
Carlos Pacheco
Adam Kubert
Chris Bachalo
Frank Quitely
John Cassady
Olivier Coipel
Stuart Immonen
Clay Mann
Jerome Opeña
Pepe Larraz
Notably absent but worthy of mention; Jim Lee, I think he is an excellent draftsman and have a ton of respect for him, but as I got older nostalgia wore off and I really came into a deep distaste for his design aesthetic, particularly the costumes many consider “classics” or “definitive” I hate his Cyclops Storm and Jean specifically, I know this is a very unpopular opinion.
-
Immonen and Gracia together made some beautiful stuff.

Even though it was rather brief, I still found the artwork of Mike Wieringo most enjoyable:

I usually just see hate for the man as an artist. :-(

This one looks Mignola inspired. :-)
I saw McGuiness on the bottom cover shown and it reminded me...

Re: Deadpool - I know we talked about Mads X-Men and Excalibur but he did a rather beautiful Deadpool mini-series too in his earlier style in the 90's. It was a pretty good read too. I think I still have them in my long boxes somewhere. I'm not a big Deadpool fan but I enjoyed it and the above series.

For me, the classics are John Byrne and Dave Cockrum both equally.
Then in the 90s, Jim Lee is my favourite, but I also like a lot Andy Kubert, Joe Madureira and Carlos Pacheco.
In the new century, probably my favourite is Pepe Larraz (please Marvel give him more X-Men stuff!!). Others are John Cassaday, RB Silva.
And it's a shame that Jimmy Cheung haven't got a long stint on any X-Men book. I think he is amazing as well!!

I'll take your word. But no matter what, the artwork of Quesada will always be a favorite:

Agreed, a highly sought-after series (IMHO):

I really liked his art on the Rogue Solo.
