Not really the kind of news I was hoping for.

Kind of OT:
Does anyone think the 12 issues of Grant Morrison Green Lantern will be collected as one thick HC?
I'm trying to decide if I want to buy the first 6 issues in the smaller HC currently out or wait it out.... and then it might not happen.
How were sales of the floppies?
[QUOTE=liwanag;4627116]it's nice to see an article about hal once in a while....

That was fun. I would have said that Hal could take on all of them, all at the same time.

According to Liam Sharp, The Green Lantern was one of DC's best selling comics, so I would guess it did very well in single issues. There will certainly be a hardcover collection of the first season at some point. Morrison doesn't tend to ever flop financially when it comes to his more mainstream superhero. You can be assured that The Green Lantern will receive plenty of love in collected editions, because DC knows that that's where most of Morrison's audience buy his stuff.

Yes, but not soon. I would guess, at the very earliest, we wouldn't get a complete season one hardcover until the tpb of issues 7-12 has been out for awhile, so we're probably looking at 2021. And that's presuming DC doesn't decide to skip seasonal hardcovers in favor of an omnibus.

To be honest, fate wasn't kind to them even after Hal brought them back.
The only one who seemed to turn out okay was Graf Toren.

It has its faults, especially towards the end, but overall I found it very enjoyable.

"You're a bad boy, S-man". This scene still feels uncomfortable after all this time.

Always love me a Doc Shaner piece :).
Man, I want Shaner on a Hal-focused GL book. Maybe Season 3 of "The Green Lantern" is Morrison wants to move on.
Whose writing style would fit though? Waid? Bendis seems to write a fun Hal, but he can be .... Bendis-y. King wrote a great Hal, but he is really hit and miss. Can DC drag Simonson back as a writer? Alan Davis wrote a great Hal in "The Nail" books, but he's similar to Morrison in that he indulges in his form of whackiness at the expense of character sometimes.
