Best Games of the Decade
So what would you guys consider the best games of this decade?
This was the decade when I became a really active gamer, though I don't want to oversell that since I am largely a filthy casual. I have mostly played console games and titles from X-Box 360 and PS3/PS4, so I am not hip to stuff happening in Nintendo and Mobile games (I suspect that Mario Odyssey and Breath of the Wild would be on this list if I could have played them). So this cannot be anything but my personal take. But I want all of you guys to share and so on.
Red Dead Redemption: Undead Nightmare (2010)
Batman Arkham City (2011)
Portal 2 (2011)
Journey (2012)
Mark of the Ninja (2012)
Dishonored (2012)
Spec Ops the line (2012)
The Last of Us (2013)
Tomb Raider (2013)
Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag (2013)
Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons (2013)
Middle-Earth: Shadow of Mordor (2014)
Batman Arkham Knight (2015)
The Witcher III: Wild Hunt (2015)
Bloodborne (2015)
Uncharted 4 A Thief's End (2016)
Dishonored 2 (2016)
Horizon Zero Dawn (2017)
Middle-Earth: Shadow of War (2017)
Assassin's Creed Origins (2017)
Spider-Man PS4 (2018)
If I were to rank among this the absolute greatest games of this decade it would be:
Portal 2
The Witcher III
Mark of the Ninja
Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag
Dishonored
Spec Ops: The Line

As you can tell I am a stealth guy since three titles in the top 6 are stealth. Curiously only 2 open world titles even if the majority of games I played are open world games. What do you guys think?

There were games other than Marvel Heroes?
-
No order:
Arkham City
Crash Team Racing Nitro Fueled
Super Mega Baseball 2
Borderlands 2
Alan Wake
Dragon Age Inquisition
Mass Effect 3
Mass Effect 2
Stardew Valley
Life Is Strange
Honorable mentions: Oxenfree, Limbo, Civ6, Slime Rancher, & Diablo 3.
If I am being honest, Minecraft and Fortnite would be the top 2 games of the decade even though I didn't like them. Same with League of Legends.

For my list, I forgot about Bioshock 2 and Bioshock: Infinite.

I forgot Last of Us on my list too. Uggh. This is easily my #2 game of the decade behind Horizon Zero Dawn.
The gameplay in Last of Us is good but not great but the story is beyond words. I have never been so emotionally invested in the characters of a game as I was in this. In case you haven't played it I'm going to be vague for spoiler reasons but there is a scene near the end of the game where you really don't know whats going to happen and I had so much anxiety going on as I played as I muttered to myself "she better not be dead, she better not be dead . . . . " I cared so much for these characters and that was because of the great writing. Contrast that to a game I just finished: Assassins Creed Odyssey. It was a blast to play but storywise I really couldn't have cared less about Kassandra's backstory or family. When I finished I just kind of shrugged and went on to my next game. When I finished Last of Us it was all I could think about for a long time.

Minecraft has gone through a lot of changes since it first went live, I'll say that.
And not having the Mass Effect and Dragon Age (2 was lackluster, but Inquisition was a big step in the right direction) games? And can't forget Skyrim, that STILL has tons of mods being made.

Zelda, Breath of the Wild.
Actually, that was my best game experience in at least 20 years i would dare to say even.
