If it features a red-headed Wally West, then of course I'd watch it. I'd be curious to see a Titans show.
Of course if this yet another version of mainly Robin, Cyborg, Beast Boy, Raven, Starfire...(cartoon show TEEN Titans made live action)... not so much.
Since Geoff Johns is helming, it will most likely be the same Titans (or "Blackbirds") concept he was working on with TNT, that featured Nightwing and Oracle forming the Titans. Highly doubt we'll see another on screen Wally West, and Cyborg is pretty much a no go due to budget concerns and his role in the DCEU.

Well, if Flash and Nightwing can exist on TV and the big screen simultaneously then I suppose Cyborg could too, although they might be forced to use practical make up effects rather than CGI. Which come to think of it might actually look better.
I'm pretty excited to see what comes of this and how they'll handle adapting the Titans. I know the immediate assumption with Berlanti involved is that this will be related to the Arrowverse, though with it being a digital-only series I'm not sure if they'll connect it to the CW shows or have any kind of major crossover. I'm not expecting the Titans to show up to next year's annual crossover event, for one thing...
I guess it could possible be like Vixen where it's mostly standalone but with a major appearance by an Arrowverse regular at some point. I could see this taking place on Earth-38, the Earth of Supergirl, since it's teased Batman's existence and has more room for other heroes and world-building then Earth-1 does :).
Be kind of awesome if we see an Earth-38 version of Slade Wilson, still played by Manu Bennett, menace the Titans and call Dick "Kid" like he did Ollie on Arrow ;).
The only downside would be the unlikelihood of Roy and Wally popping up in this, since they're both on Earth-1, but I wasn't expecting we'd see more of the Fab Five other then Dick quite frankly. Though I guess there is potential for Wonder Girl and Aqualad...
If there's anything I'm concerned about it's the show's possible budget and how that might effect their adapting the Titans, since the members already announced or teased like Starfire, Raven, and Beast Boy would likely be very FX heavy. Can we expect something on par with a Netflix series or a CW show? Would this being digital-only limit the budget even more?
As much as I believe the CW has been pretty good about conveying powers and abilities, at least for the kind of budget they have, we've already seen team shows like Legends of Tomorrow try it's best to workaround the heroes who require a lot of FX, but I'm not sure if that'll work well here. Will Beast Boy pull a Vixen and only change into a gorilla? Well, they have a CG Grodd model they can probably recolor...
And costumes is another question. Using the CW shows as a barometer, they've generally been pretty true to or at least true to the spirit of the costumes from the comics at least as far as most of the heroes and some villains are concerned. Nightwing and Beast Boy's costumes shouldn't be that hard to adapt, though I doubt Starfire is going to have an outfit that's as skimpy as some of her comic looks (though if we ever see her at a pool...), but given all the redesigns she and Raven have had over the years there's a lot to play around with for them as far as costume design.
Also, given this is a Berlanti show and Starfire is a redhead + the likely love interest of the lead (Dick), there's probably a 50% chance she'll be cast with an African-American actress. Though hopefully, Kori being Kori, she can avert the pitfalls of a CW Superhero love interest in the first season of their show...
Alan Ritchson who played Arthur Curry in smallville will play Hawk along side Minka Kelly who'll play Dove.
Well he certainly has the jaw for it. I liked him as aquaman and never understood why they replaced him for the mercy reef pilot
OMG MY HEART MELTED!! When I saw this I love the Nightwing Actor they choose & I can't wait To See Nightwing & StarFire Together My Favorite Couples in DC ^.^
Yeah so far people are complaining bout the StarFire actor cause she is black but people forget that the Actor who played Gomora in Guardian of the galaxy is black who was sprayed painted Green, I have high hopes For StarFire she gonna do great I just can't wait to see Nightwing & StarFire together :o

Hawk and Dove are a weird choice for the titans cast. But it like the casting. And as far as the mercy reef pilot i like Alan Ritchson, but i think justin hartley is a better actor. He just had the unfortunate luck of having to wear that awful green arrow costume. Hes now killing it on This is Us.
Never been a hawk and dove fan but i thought they were. Brothers not lovers

There have been versions of them where they were a couple.

No people aren't forgetting that. They just know that black people have had enough of the one actor/actress of color playing a an alien character whose skin tone has to be altered. (If that makes any sense at all)

I always liked Hartley as Green Arrow. He was pretty fun in the role (compared to Amell who's been intentionally written as dour and straight-laced since day one).

They started out as brothers (Hank and Don Hall) but eventually after Don died in Crisis they came up with a new Dove, Dawn Granger, to pair with Hank and there has been some on-and-off romantic subtext between them throughout their run.

Oh yea he was great as Ollie, a troubled character who covered it with Humor and Charm. But they gave him an awful costume
Ok didnt know that. Anytime ive come across them they were brothers.

I think this is the first time the Dawn Granger Dove has appeared in outside media, aside from cameos in DC Super Hero Girls.
I had not heard of this, but I am excited!

Are they gonna be core cast or just guest appearances?
For some reason i thought it was gonna be small Nightwing/Starfire/Raven/Beast Boy.

It is.
Hawk and Dove will just be recurring, with the possibility of them becoming regulars at a later point.

Ryan Potter Cast As Beast Boy
Ryan Potter (Big Hero 6) has been cast as a lead opposite Brenton Thwaites, Anna Diop and Teagan Croftin the new live-action series Titans, from Greg Berlanti, Akiva Goldsman, Geoff Johns, Sarah Schechter and Warner Bros TV, which is slated to premiere in 2018 as part of the inaugural slate of a new DC-branded direct-to-consumer digital service. He will play the series regular role of Garfield “Gar” Logan (aka Beast Boy).
Written by Goldsman, DC Entertainment’s Johns and Berlanti, Titans follows a group of young soon-to-be superheroes recruited from every corner of the DC Universe. In the action-adventure series, Dick Grayson (Brenton Thwaites) emerges from the shadows to become the leader of a fearless band of new heroes that includes Starfire (Anna Diop), Raven (Teagan Croft) and others.
As a child, Potter’s Garfield “Gar” Logan contracted the lethal disease, Sakutia, while on an African expedition with his geneticist parents. Treated with an experimental drug, Gar survived but not without developing some bizarre side effects. Along with skin and hair turning permanently green, the wisecracking, fun-loving Beast Boy is able to reshape himself into any animal of any size he can imagine.
In addition to the core Titans quartet, the series also cast Alan Ritchson and Minka Kelly as recurring, playing superhero duo Hawk & Dove, with an option to become regulars in Season 2 and possibly headline a potential Hawk and Dove spinoff series down the road.
First Image of Brenton Thwaites as Robin Revealed
After more than three years in development, the fist official image from the Titans TV series has arrived, and it’s one of the most anticipated potential reveals — a look at the show’s star Brenton Thwaites in costume as Robin.
Though Thwaites plays the original Robin, Dick Grayson, in the series, between the stylized “R” on the chest and the staff, this costumes definitely takes a lot of visual cues from Batman’s third Robin, Tim Drake. The costume was designed by Laura Jean Shannon, whose credits include 2008’s fist Iron Man film, Scott Pilgrim vs. The World and the upcoming Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle film and fellow DC Comics-based series Black Lightning.
Wow thats amazingly accurate.
Wow that looks good
Looks like he'll be transitioning to Nightwing in the series.
And thank goodness those rumors about Beast Boy being only able to talk to animals are wrong. He'll be shape shifting into them.

Holy crud, I was expecting subtle nods to Robin, not actually seeing Dick as Robin .
It's kind of nice to be able to see a live-action Robin again :).
What's with the Boss Logic-esque background for that image? I wouldn't have known this was official if I had seen it out of context (though that's more of a compliment to great fan manips like Boss Logic too).
Really surprised that he's starting off as Robin. Did not expect that. I would totally be cool if he were Robin throughout the first season, then transitioned mid season to Nightwing like in Young Justice.

Well Robin is more well known a name then Nightwing. Might be smart for drawing viewers in initialy. Then have him become Nightwing

Also if they do the Nightwing film it leaves any confusing out Robin on TV Nightwing in films.

I think that ship sailed when they had a TV Flash & Superman and a movie Flash & Superman at the same time.
Well, this is certainly exciting news!
I had no idea they were going to actually feature Robin on the show, so its great to see the picture unexpectedly popping up all over the web.
I wouldn't mind if they spent even a whole season (or two) with Dick as Robin and took their time with the Nightwing transition. Its worth noting that even in the comics, Dick spent quiet a bit of time as Robin in the NTT. In fact, if the facts given in he 'Robin: A Celebration of 75 Years' trade are to be believed, the change to Nightwing was really prompted by the Batman titles laying claim to the Robin mantle, forcing the NTT guys to create a new mantle for Dick Grayson.
I just don't want to get this via a special streaming service. I understand what everyone is trying to do with this stuff. If I was in the business I probably would to. Still don't like it.

This is true! At the time, Grayson was more of a Titans property - and with reason, given that NTT saved DC Comics - but the Batman editorial office had the rights to the name 'Robin' before Wolfman and Perez did, and they wanted to introduce a new one, so they had to figure out something to do with Dick and ultimately he became Nightwing while Jason Todd was created to be Robin.
TITANS TV Series Seemingly Looking To Cast Bruce Wayne And A Young Dick Grayson
New character breakdowns for the upcoming Titans TV series have surfaced and they point to us spending time with Bruce Wayne and a young Dick Grayson or possibly even another version of Robin...
More character breakdowns for Titans have surfaced today and it appears as if Warner Bros. is looking to cast a couple of major roles in the form of Bruce Wayne and a young Dick Grayson. Are we going to get a flashback to Nightwing's time as Robin, the night his parents were murdered, or possibly even meet another Robin in the form of Jason Todd or Tim Drake? Any one of those seems feasible!
"[YOUNG JOHN CROSSLAND] Male, Caucasian, To play 10-13, athletic, lean, approximately 5’0″ and not afraid of heights," reads the first character breakdown. "Please list height on submission. RECURRING GUEST STAR." If we are going to spend time with a young Dick or another Robin, Bruce Wayne/Batman won't be too far behind and that's hinted at in the second of these breakdowns.
"[DAVE STORY] Male, mid 30s-40s, Caucasian. The downfalls of others only make this man stronger. Polished. Unwavering. Think a young Jack Nicholson. RECURRING GUEST STAR." That has all the makings of a Bruce Wayne type but the comparison to Jack Nicholson is extremely interesting and could point to this actually being a villain.
I think that description for the older gentleman is more likely Tony Zucco then Bruce Wayne.

Just as NTT was picking up steam (about 1981-1982), the Bat-comics reassembled the Dynamic Duo. They'd been on the outs for a couple of years before. I didn't know the office politics. It makes sense that the Bat-office wanted a free hand, but I can see also why Wolfman and Perez were given leeway to keep Grayson . He was part of the overlapping triads the Wolfman envisioned as the theme of NTT.

Yeah, that's what I thought. "It looks awesome! Wait a minute, it looks a bit too awesome."
Also, I'm not sure how long he'll keep Robin costume if he's going to become Nightwing. Or will they save it for second season?
