Knull is finally here!
Very, very excited for this one.
Can we please at least start Empyre before they announce another event?
Also, hard pass.
This event just looks like more of the terrible Knull and Carnage nonsense that Cates has been doing for too long.
Donny Cates doing the same old same old...
Pass. Not a symbiote fan. Those things are overdone af.

What’s been terrible about it?

First there's Knull. The fact that his name is apparently profanity in another language aside...he's about as embarrassingly bad an edgelord oc as the Batman Who Laughs.
All the retcons to the Symbiotes have taken them from being a perfectly good species of aliens to a bunch of OP messes. Especially Carnage who seemed to get new powers in every single one of his little mini-series.
And this desperate 'we have to separate Venom from Spider-Man!' has done the character no real favors.
Will this Knull story never end?

Well Venom is going to be a main character in a seemingly MU-Wide December event and is featuring more and more prominently in the MU. I’d say distancing the character from Spider-Man is going pretty well.

He was introduced as imprisoned in 2018, released in 2019 and will face the MU this year. He’s really not been around that long.

A character being forced and featured does not mean they're being done well.

Sales would indicate otherwise.
What’s not being done well?
New Venom stuff is not forced because new Venom stuff is one of their best-selling titles. Knull wack, tho.
I guess it's that time of year for another Symbiote event...

Symbiotes are still perfectly able to be a good species. In fact, they may have more merit for having turned out as good as they did considering their dark origin. They are good by choice, not by nature. Which resonates well with the current themes of the Venom run.
I know some people are super angry about it because they want Venom to remain simply a villain to Spider-Man. But that hasn't been the case for a long time. It's time to accept Venom is its own thing now, and act accordingly. Not so long ago he was selling more than Spider-Man himself.
looks like the Bleeding Cool leak was dead on
