The marvel show that just won’t die will be back another season
Good to hear, love that show.
I saw an article on Screen Rant claiming that Agents of SHIELD was more popular than the Netflix shows. Seemed farfetched to me honestly but I'm glad that it's coming back.
7?
What happened to season 6?

Starts summer 2019.
It just got renewed for another season before the new one airs.

Which seems odd for a network show, but whatevs.
Anywho, is there anything anyone would particularly like to see for upcoming seasons?
Stopped caring back in 2016.

Must be confident whatever they got planned will bump up viewers
Woohoo! So excited :D
I wouldn't mind seeing Zodiac as the big bad or Iron Fist popping up like Ghost Rider in season 4.
Good this show deserves renewal
I would like to know why the first two seasons were released on DVD and then 3 - 5 have not.

Zodiac is about the only thing to get me to watch this show again.

Because they want you to watch them on the Disney streaming service. Annoying... I like to have physical copies of my favorite shows.
Much as I love the show, the ratings are in the dumper and I'm kind of at a loss why they would do this. Must be something pretty specific, like a big overseas distribution deal. Or maybe they want to use it as a lab for potential new series. I think they would be dumb not to go for a Ghost Rider series, and a Secret Warriors series would be good too.

If I understand correctly the company ABC contracted for DVD/Blu-ray distribution for their various series are apparently dingleberries and we probably won't get them until the contract expires.
Yes but I'm sure this will be the last season.
:p
I hope they bring back Ghostrider. I like this series generally, but the Ghostrider stuff was easily the best this show's ever been in my opinion.

It's a better show than the netflix shows. When has something like this happened on a netflix marvel show?
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ny8aOTqt2pI
but no, the don't rock the boat marvel netflix shows wanted to stay LOW TO THE GROUND and go the low fantasy route of the marvel universe. Let's take most of the magic and fantastical elements and characters, and go in the other direction. Oh, let's add a show about the punisher, a mundane human with guns and military training, sh*t we could LITERALLY SEE in the real world.
Agents of shield is not ashamed of what it is. And it is better for it.
Yes but I'm sure this will be the last season.

I don't think you're getting what this thread is saying, Season 6 Hasn't even started , it's already getting another season...
or was that sarcasm?!
Hooray! More tv content for Disney + (if it actually lands there) it aligns more to the mcu than the Netflix shows.

Legit question it feel good to get that off your chest?
Legit question it feel good to get that off your chest?
It always feels good. I have given the same rant multiple times. I'm getting sick of the toe dipping of netflix into getting into more genre shows. They still have no equivalent of game of thrones. altered carbon was a nice foray into more hard sci fi, but there is no expanse equivalent.
the gifted, legion, agents of shield, all of those shows are more expansive and out there in their embrace of the marvel universe than the netflix shows.
This is good news. Of all the superhero shows currently on the air, this is the one that continues to deliver the goods season by season. This show shouldn't work. Look at all the absurd stuff they've thrown into this show: Hydra, Inhumans, Asgardians, Kree, Ghost Rider, portals through both space and time, the shattering of planet Earth, LMD's, a mind trip into a Matrix type cyberworld, Graviton, cybernetic limbs, ax shotguns, etc. It should be utterly ludicrous, and yet it all somehow works.
I can't wait to see what craziness the team finds themselves having to deal with next.
Yes but I'm sure this will be the last season.

People have been saying that since season 1 ended. Still hasn't been relegated to the graveyard yet. To be fair, I thought season 6 would likely be its last. So the fact it got renewed, before 6 even begins, totally blindsided me.
I'm think S7 will feature some mutants.Maybe a school will be name dropped. It'll clear the way for X-men.
I hope they bring back Ghostrider. I like this series generally, but the Ghostrider stuff was easily the best this show's ever been in my opinion.
From what I understand, they cut Ghostrider out because the effects were to expensive. If true, he won't be back.
I'm glad it's been renewed ahead of S6. While an uneven series, it has proven to be unkillable in that it is better than most scifi/fantasy/action shows out there. IMO, it blows away anything on CW, and is better than all but Daredevil and Punisher for Netflix.
From what I understand, they cut Ghostrider out because the effects were to expensive. If true, he won't be back.
They would probably be too expensive if he was a series regular, but he was only ever intended for a single arc, which was budgeted for. If they bring him back it would most likely be for another arc, hopefully with the goal of spinning him off into his own (probably streaming) show.
It's hard to imagine why they would give the show a 2-season renewal if they were planning to crap out on the budget.
Coulson's current predicament is because of a deal he made with Ghost Rider. So it would make sense if one of the upcoming arcs involved contacting GR and trying to change the deal.

God I hope so, could use some more of that flame-chain wielding goodness. Maybe make the skull look a little more real human skull-y though, but that's a minor design flaw.

I love AoS but u seriously think Punisher is something we can see in real life? The premise is very grounded if thats what u mean but problem is if someone in real life tried to be the punisher they probaly be dead rather quickly. Maybe if all Frank killed was gangster but he spend have his show fighting people with the same training as him.

Punisher definitely has a sort of batman plot armor protecting his life and body, he should definitely be dead with all the abuse he's seen. But the main point is that the punisher is still low fantasy fare, the kind of show that was better than it had any right to be, but still trying hard not to be too out there based on the core subject matter.

Ok get what your saying. Also like batman Frank is unrealisticly skilled but in a way that's not really fantasy. We can convince ourself the right person with the dedication and willpower could be them.
Anyway yea I loved Punisher. I think Bernthal is amazing in the role. Like the little ticks and nuance he brings to Frank. Though I understand alot of people just see Shane from TWD I dont have that problem

You can order blu-ray copies of seasons 3-5 from Amazon UK. They are region free and will play on any blu-ray player.

I agree.
Agents of shield is the best marvel comicbook superhero show and the best comicbook superhero show on tv.

By the way when i first saw season 1 of agents of shield i thought it was really good and exciting to watch from the beginning.
Season 1 of aos is really good.
It even has fresh RT scores and high RT scores from audiences and critics.
Agents of SHIELD Is More Popular Than Any Marvel Netflix Show

Like I said, in my opinion. And Season 3 of Daredevil isn't thrilling me so far, with the exception of Kingpin. D'onofrio is spot on.
Another contender is The Gifted, which to me is better than the Netflix or CW shows. For me, AOS and TG are re-watchable, whereas the other shows are one-and-done.
It's better than Daredevil....haven't seen Punisher yet but I'll bet it's better than show too.
Cant agree with you. I think Daredevil is the show that all others are measured by and nothing has taken its crown yet. All personal choice of course.
