The screentime of all the X-men in X-men movies

I saw this post on IMDB that had all of screentime of everyone in the X-men franchise and I thought it would make for an slight interesting discussion.

Couple thoughts

-The big surprise is Wolverine is not the top person in screen time. Professor X is in every main X-men movie and second half X-men franchise,Magneto and him dominate the time screen time. If not for Days of Future past Wolverine would be lower.

- It is easy to explain the gripes with Fox Franchise with time clearly laid out. Mystique has the 5th most screen time in the franchise. Yes it is boosted that she had solid amount of time in the first trilogy of movies but it is not hard to think other female in X-men lore that you would want to see that screen time. Kitty, Rogue, Storm, Psylocke,Jubilee,
etc

-In weird a way it is actually blessing because Fox focused on so few X-men that everyone is going to feel pretty fresh in the MCU and other than Dark Phoenix saga and a heavy Professor X and Magneto relationship story most stories can be used.

I think its quite clear fox put too much focus on wolverine, Xavier, Magneio and Mystique.

this is a legitimate mishandling of the fox films that we all call fox out for.

Here we go again....

Anyway yea not surprised by any of the times. Wolverine only has less cause they are only counting MAIN Xmen movies and not the 3 solo movies. And with that being the case there were 3 movies he either wasnt in or only had a small cameo. Jean was the one that surprised me but yea once in think about it.. yes makes total sense.

Jean only caught up because Dark Phoenix was a showcase for her with out last movie she was in the Cyclops/Storm range.

Anyway to stay on topic yes but even without Dark Phoenix Jean was in the first 3 films and got a fair amount of screen time.

Anyway, yes, the way the now defunct Fox X-men movies handled their characters left something to be desired.

I hope when Marvel eventually re-boot it they give adequate screen time to other characters aside Wolverine, Magneto and Professor X.

Bringing the topic back on track what are the memorable moments and story arcs from other characters other than Xavier,Magneto,Wolverine and Mystique.

1. Cyclops- I guess Dark Phoenix when they are fighting in the street for New York. That was closest to comic book Cyclops we got in the movies

2. Storm- It is was a little bit cheesy but I like the back forth between her and the character who they called Callisto

3. Beast- I guess when he stab Magneto with needles.. I can't think of anything really

4. Nightcrawler- of course X2 opening sequence

5. Quicksilver-The biggest surprise of the franchise to me, They always manage to give him a good set pieces. Every action sequence with him in it is good

6. Colossus- Deadpool actually using the character

Cyclops: Jeans death in X2

Storm: faith bond moment with Nightcrawler and saving xavier and all mutants from jason killing them all , as this is x-men, they don't need massive cgi battle for 1 hour, breaking things and having fun about it. X2 required more film writing intellect input because of the source material.

Beast?you don't remember when beast had to smart talk with mystique on how difficult it is, being a mutant for people like him and raven. You don't remember when he takes to cure only for the cure to make his mutation worse. this is one of the darkest moments in the series

I can even throw in Kelsey Grammer playing Beast, one of the best parts of the bad X3 and a marvel fan favorite role.

Nightcrawler. white house scene but also explaining how he copes with being a christian and a demon looking mutant in X2.

Quicksilver: Time in a bottle, only because the visual too a lot of work and was seen as a groundbreaking scene.

Colossus: partially only in deadpool but I would have preferred more of DOFP Colossus because that fits the source material better.

Jackman still has the most screen time of all of them tho.;)

I like how Jean was given more screen time than Wolverine had in each of the mainline films.

Really surprised about Jubilee. I thought she had more screen time than that in Apocalypse since she was propped up as part of the inner circle for the new kids (hence the mall trip/80s montage), to the point that I was utterly surprised that she wasn't part of the third act battle.

I mean she got 35 minutes in Dark Phoenix. The most screen time Wolverine had gotten was 30 minutes in X1.
