For all we know, Jess could be the "LGBTQ+ best friend who Andi is extremely close to" archetype I've seen a billion times over both in-person and in media. I hope we're not going there, but all we know is they have a very intimate relationship and all interpersonal relationships are banned for League members.
For my money? They're interested in one another. That's how I read it, but I also stopped and realized it's portrayed in a way that DC can always pull back if they want to. It's not as explicit as Helena in Bat/Cat having been referred to seeing a woman. As for FS Aquaman going into it, yeah, if Jon Kent can have fans furious he didn't end up with Kathy from Tomasi's Superman there's no reason she can't form a proto-crush on someone regardless of gender. It's not a big deal.
I must be an idiot because I thought the big talking point was going to be how she basically surfs water in the laziest way possible. She's just drawn to be flying with a small trail of water. :/
Shea has confirmed that FS - Aquaman is gonna be big gay adventures - now make of that what you want

I mean the protagonist is gay so all that tells me is he has a romantic or sexual interest in someone he comes across in his adventures. Water's also wet. :p

The protagonist is queer, which could mean many different things.
If they use gay adventures, I guess it is a same sex romance involved.
Edite: Sorry, I've just noticed you mean Jackson. You're right that the gay adventures are for him.

She’s being facetious. She’s saying both the protagonist (Jackson) and the deuteragonist (Andy) of Future State Aquaman are both queer. So whoever is offended of that, can suck it.

She should explain herself better, since she gives the impression that the next issue will be about gay adventures only.
BTW I have nothing against queer people, have relatives who are. If Andy is a lesbian I have no issues with that.

What is your definition of “gay adventures?”

The writer say Andy is queer.
As the queer label is used, it's pretty unlikely she's lesbian. If she was lesbian, they will probably use the lesbian label.

Yes, Andi is looking to be bisexual or pansexual.

gay themed adventures!

Yeah, her being in a relationship (or interested in one at least) with Jess indicates she's likely not lesbian. Pan feels most accurate if we're picking a term more specific than queer, not that we need to.

Yeah, I figure she just doesn't care about gender as far as her romantic interests.

That is my take on the one panel we got as well.
Bringing discussion back to Arthur, what do we gotta do to get Mendonca drawing his book again?

Mendonca was one of the best artists Aquaman ever had.
Anyhow he replied on twitter that there is hope that he would come back when(if) the book returns.

No complaints from me.
