Again I think they’re planning to switch both artists & writers per issue. And honestly who would you trust more than Ryan North to write fora character like Spider-Ma’am?
He already did it for a Spidergeddon story, if I recall correctly.

Glad they seemingly dropped the WACKY ZANY cover art direction look the first couple issues had.

... so who are Miles' favorite music performers? Who does he have on his MP3 player usually?

I read the first trade. Fun stuff, not sure if the story justifies the need for three active spider-people and Gwen is a little "too cool for school" for my liking, but it was nice enough.

Guess we shouldn't really be surprised at this point but, Miles Morales: Spider-Man #9 is getting a second printing.
Anyone want to take a guess at how many printings issue #10 (aka issue #250) is going to get? My money is on 4.

Yeah, four is a pretty safe bet, at the very least.
Fans had the chance to meet Starling earlier this year, but fans will get an up-close look at the newest character in the Spider-Man mythos in a special backup story in Miles Morales: Spider-Man #250. The new backup story will put the spotlight on Tiana Toomes, aka Starling, who is the granddaughter of Adrian Toomes, otherwise known as the Vulture, and the story will be brought to life by writer Saladin Ahmed and artists Annie Wu and Rachelle Rosenberg. ComicBook.com has your first look at the new story, which will give fans some insight into Marvel's latest character.
“Miles is Brooklyn's Spider-Man, and therefore we always have an eye on his connection to legacy, but part of our mission in this book has been to populate his home borough with original characters," Ahmed said. "Enter Starling, aka Tiana Toomes, granddaughter of one of Spidey's most classic villains, The Vulture. Every rooftop-crawling hero deserves an ally/love interest/sometimes foil, and Starling definitely plays that role in Miles' life. But she's very much her own tough, smart young woman. More a 'try and keep up with me' type than a sidekick. In Miles Morales: Spider-Man #10 we learn a bit more about her origin in Detroit, and that's definitely not the last we'll see of her...”
“Starling's great to work on, because she has all the potential of a fresh character right alongside a lineage that's informed by decades of stories," Wu said. "Drawing her origin was an interesting opportunity to explore both the new and old. Also, I like drawing feathers, so any excuse is good.”
Not gonna lie, kinda wish those extra pages were just more of the main story, want as much of the Ultimate whatever this is explained as possible.
-
Detroit, huh? Interesting. Downtown is not as skyscraper heavy as Manhattan, though. But she does get to go to Canada fairly quickly across the river.
On top of this-- uh, just who is Starling's dad? _____ Toomes, presumably, but has he ever been seen or depicted at all?

Is that Toomes' 90's costume?
-
Well, makes sense he'd be in an old costume since the flashback is set a few years ago. You can see he has a different costume on the last page, which is set just before Starling's debut.

Yeah, you see the Mysterio dome of his current look, so it has to have been relatively recent.
