10 swords but 9 champions.
Really good issue. I liked it.
I personally love that annihilation is not a person ,but an entity that lives in a mask. That is some horror mojo right there. So anyone wearing the mask falls under the control of the being. That is just opening the door further to richer lore of a new most likely unknown entity to fear.
Makes me think of Malice in some ways.

I wonder if they've given Malice a body to possess, like they did with Proteus?
Best issue for XoS so far. But the only problem about the issue was the art. After Yu you expect a better artist to draw those close up shots of Apocalypse with more detail.
Apocalypse was the weak of the family.
They are so fucked.

Sibling JBen...we are blessed, indeed.

I think this was the best part of the issue and even if we all know that Annihilation will gain control over Genesis but we don't know what exactly she was offered :)
>Fun issue. Nice art. Fantastic colouring.
>Bitchy Apocalypse isn't fooling anyone. You're the weak one here, En Sabah Nur. Your truly badass wife said so. Stop overcompensating.
>Banshee gets top billing and just turns his head. :P
>Magnus family... unite! Way to empower and support your daughter, Mags.
>Isca DOES have a history of switching sides. Will it happen again?
>So... Arakko is now an island on the hell plane/t of Amenth, and the mutants rule the plane/t because Genesis wears (and controls to an extent) the Annihilation Mask. At least we're finally getting answers to exactly WTF Amenth really is and the reason mutants are now allied with the demons.
>Genesis is badass: a being of life that will cut a bitch. I hope she is freed of the mask.
>So... Storm has to put on the Annihilation Mask at some point, ja?
>Explaining/expanding on the pyramid scene from Marvel Comics #1000 was well done.

I would cancel Isca for that shit, even if she was my sister. There’s family, and then there’s family the way Dominic Torreto means it.
I'm confused...I thought Isca joined Amenth MUCH later on when Arakko was already separated from Krakoa?
I liked this issue. We learn Apocalypse wasn’t strong enough. Genesis was the strong one. Very interesting to see what was the catalyst for his “survival of the fittest” attitude.
This was the best part for me. I love how Hickman is bold with his choices, retconning characters origins and further making them more and more complex.
Great issue! Was just sad we didn't see the full circle in the end.

No, in Amenth she was already with the demons
I think the full circle scene is going to be in Stasis because they will realize one spot is not taken. I believe someone will have to step into one of the circles, because Gorgon won't be able to light up two spots. Maybe Mags will take one sword.
