Good tastes go a long way for an editor. :o

Pfft. Might as well have a bitch at his own office for giving readers the story severely out-of-order. I still do not get the logic behind that.

Some shortcuts for the lazy.

So, a couple of interesting info:
- JDW came in to the X-Office when they were about to launch Extermination, and Hickman came with his pitch shortly after.
- Therefore Scott's return was already planned before Hickman, as was Logan's.
- They couldn't start Hickman's run during Extermination right after Gold and Blue ended, so they came up with doing something like Disassembled and decided on July for the beginning of Hickman's run.
- Because of the timing with Extermination and Return of Wolverine, they knew they couldn't be on Disassembled, so after they decided to make Age of X-Man, JDW came up with the idea of a book with Scott and Logan coming together at this moment, they asked Rosenberg if he wanted to do it, he accepted and then came up with everything else that's been going on in Uncanny.

Did he said something about Jean?
Did he said something about Jean?
nope nope nope
-
White got asked that there were no fan favorites like Psylocke, Rogue and Gambit on HOX POX covers. White guarantees that they will appear in a comic at some point between July and December.

He said that Cyclops and Jean gonna talk on HOX/POX. that is it

That indicates the clear filler role of both AoX and current UXM. Also, if Hickman's run couldn't start right away, this seems to indicate either Cable and Rachel, if not both, since they would be the characters unavailable.

Think it was more due to the art on the upcoming minis needing the lead-in time.

Maybe, but perhaps Hickamn could have used other artists that weren't doing anything else. I don't know if he specifically asked Larraz and Silva.
Of course, the two hypotheses aren't mutually exclusive. And of course now I remember Cannonball was supposed to appear in X-force too and Hickman might have plans for him as well.
-
Hickman is always artist picky and has clout.

Wasn't a hypothesis, JDW said it in the podcast, the Hickman books needed more time to be ready. At 49:50.

Did he just spoil that all that plant life and stuff is Krakao ??

Nah, we already knew they were Krakoa seeds.

Wow I can't believe cracksh0t said Batgirl would beat Gambit at skateboarding. He obviously hates him and is always trying to emasculate him :(

Marriages have ruined Tony Hawk. Not even skateboarding is safe from the infinite horror of marriage.

It's obviously Rogue's fault. I bet Kelly Thompson is gonna write an issue where Rogue is amazing at skateboarding while Gambit is trash.

Which one ? if we're talking about Barbra or Stephenie no chance gambit loses. If its Cassandra she'd win.
Also who had money on divorce due to gambit cheating on her, it appears you made a safe bet and will probably be right.
-
Gambit must never skateboard. He’s always been one “Cowabunga!” away from merging with the 90s.
-
White does read on here, and I feel like his response of "People take my opinion, and apply it out of context", is aimed here.
So with that I want to say that while he isn't "wrong" since the idea is subjective... I greatly disagree with his take regarding Emma Frost.
-
And I do take an issue with the "I want the X-Men to be heroes." After stating that Emma's actions mean she cannot be a hero.
So... I assume by that metric we are DQing Wolverine, Xavier, Beast, Cyclops, Jean, Bishop, and Gambit from the X-Men as well, considering some of the horrifying things they've done that should also DQ them from being "heroes". Or are we just applying it some characters, and not others?

Lol, you're right. All of them are terrible people. It is just easy to forget that when they are the "main characters"

When you are fighting a war for your very survival, morality takes a seat to living to see the next day. Maybe if mutantkind wasn't threatened with annihilation literally every event, this wouldn't be the case.

Yeah, but they were X-men when the writers and editors at Marvel were kids and teenagers, so they can be heroes even if they willingly kill billions of people while trying to hunt down and murder a baby or enslave a sentient life-form to train students.

Regarding the last, I don't think Xavier has been framed as a hero for some time now.
-
my mans just wants to edit some avengers, let him live
Regarding the last, I don't think Xavier has been framed as a hero for some time now.
Oh, I know, but Emma has certainly been much more heroic than Xavier ever since Onslaught and I don't see JDW arguing against his presence on the team.
-

Because there aren't any Xavier stans pestering him with questions. But he is clearly on the team for Hickman's run so...

Yeah, I wouldn't be surprised if the minis end with Xavier moving away and/or getting his ass kicked off the team, if he's even there to begin with- remember the event is essentially dealing with consequences that Xavier did a long time ago.
And Xavier is in a reverse situation than Emma because I don't think there's too much people wanting him again in the X-men, but many Marvel would love that due to movie synergy and/or childhood nostalgia.
-
On one hand, I get the idea that she might be might be more interesting operating away from the X-Men, but on the other hand, that makes me realize that wow, the X-Men are really uninteresting now and I'd rather just read about her.
-

I'd love a solo about Emma fighting for mutantkind in her own way. But you know sooner or later they'd have to have her Tragically Go Too Far in order to shore up the X-Men's position in the franchise.

For sure Xavier won't be on the team and won't be heroic
I own't even start with the retcons to make Emma and Scott look better

LOL, good point. And, really, I don't see what is that she can do away from the X-men she can't do there. Unless the point is making her a villain again because childhood nostalgia.

And it goes again- what is that she can do alone that she can't do being among the X-men?
