Yeah, I agree that is some great art. Now if only the stories King writes were as good...
Is "Beast" the new "Cat" :p?
I wish Daniels was staying for the long run, Janin will be back in January.

Tbh I think even the Daniel written and drawn stuff was better than whatever King is doing.

Surely as an editors job they should notice how bad his dialogue is at time are and should tell him to change? How the dialogue in I am Suicide was allowed to be published is beyond me and things have only marginally improved since.
His dialogue has always been terrible and I think it’s actually gotten worse. His attempt to fix it is just having Batman grunt instead of talk now.
I wasn't sure this three-parter would build well in the payoff department. Because after all, like I groaned about two weeks ago, I'd have liked to you know ... SEE Batman's process for tracking down Beast. And this issue was pretty much just some snowy Tony Daniel fisticuffs, and Beast wasn't even in his costume.
But I still like the payoff.
If I were Bruce, I'd have started with that.
Ugh, even the storybook portion has the same cadence as the rest of King's dialogue. Where everyone talks. Like this.
I also wonder if the entire fight scene could fit in a tweet.
Loved this issue. King carried this for me since I don’t like Tony Daniels art.
Good art. I don’t get what the Fable was trying to say though. Something about how Bruce or KGBeast eat their own?
Not only King brings Penguin up right after a climax fight about ruling rights over harsh justice, he decides to wherever and have Batman do it himself.
He might be the new Fandom Frank Miller.
Well, this was a huge amount of nothing. Just a pretty by the numbers fight that is especially underwhelming considering how hyped KGBeast has been during the last couple of issues which reminds me a lot of the fight against Bane during the conclusion of I am Bane, a simple battle segment with a pretty poor resolution.
And the fairy tale segments felt really out of place despite that King wanted to create a "deeper" meaning to it. Is just pretentious writing that tries to make this issue look like is not lacking in content.
Good art though.
I wasn't into this, honestly. Just felt like a bunch of nothing.
