Basically you are saying that in a completely different timeline we would have good Superman movies and good Superman comic books, with good directors, good writers and good artists, OK; but that's too easy:D
LOL, pretty much. "This would be good if everything was different."
At best they might greenlight a HBO Max miniseries on the order of "The Peacemaker" where Zack Snyder gets to explore the Knightmare timeline. Obviously Snyder's excited and wants to do more of that, so maybe they put money for an animation series overseen by Snyder in the manner of "Guardians of Ga'Hoole" and have the actors voice the part. Call it Zack Snyder's Knightmare.
I can see an animated or comic continuation, but even going the animated route you still have the problems between Fisher & Hamada, whether Cavill would be willing to settle for playing the villain and not getting the Superman solo he wants, etc. Frankly I hope it doesn’t happen or it happens in comic form like Snyder teased way back when.

Oh jeez, Snyder just confirmed in a livestream that the actual reason Lois was able to snap him out of his fugue state...was that he could tell she was pregnant with his kid with his super-senses.
That's...that's not great.

I think Cavill is realistic that his time with Superman is done. He's now found success as Geralt of Rivia and is amazing in that role. And that show did gangbusters on Netflix and it's opened opportunities for him.
He's probably aged out of the part. And if WB wants to roll the dice with Superman again they would want to divorce themselves from Snyder.

So they tried fixing one problem, Brois, with a similarly-ridiculous alternative.
Sounds par for the course.

WB seems pretty committed to moving on from Snyder. They say they’re happy that Snyder got to complete his “trilogy” (aka no we’re not funding any more Snyder movies), they’re excited for the new films that are coming, and they want to bring back more interconnection. So maybe after Flashpoint Superman goes from Cavill into the new black take?

Why would this surprise anyone? Lois’ whole arc in everything we know is being important because she’s carrying either Batman or Superman’s child and her sex is so good it keeps Kal from going nuts. That’s her “arc”, her entire role in these movies.

Hopefully thats true, zack can continue his vision other formats, but we seriously need to divert away from his vision for the better of Superman's future. Hopefully after the upcomming black superman something better will finally come our way.

SnyderCut was not planned either, and nothing like that existed in nature. Nevertheless, on that March 18, we saw Snyder's Justice League.

The Snyderverse died on the way back to his home planet.

Instead of #restorethesnyderverse, those out there that want to see the other two parts of the story Snyder was telling the hash tag really should be #completethesnyderverse. Those that think Snyder should take everything back over as DCs godfather are going to be disappointed as I don't think even Zack Snyder himself wants that. He should have never been put in that position really. The only reason that happened anyway was because MOS did ok and Warners was so desperate to try and play catch up to Marvel they tapped him to run the whole show. They probably wanted Nolan to be their godfather, but when he said no and refused to link his Dark Knight universe to MOS,they settled for the guy he picked to direct MOS. They expected him to start making mainstream popcorn flicks after that, but BvS and JL weren't ever going to be anything but Zack Snyder epics.
Snyder's singular take works within itself if left alone, but not as a basis to a mainstream cinematic universe that Warners still seems to want for DC. He definitely had good casting instincts and there's no denying he played a big role in getting the first Wonder Woman movie made, but that movie and Aquaman became mainstream hits more in spite of him than because of him. He deserves credit for helping cast Gal Gadot and Jason Momoa, but neither of those movies were at all Zack Snyder movies.
I think its not unreasonable for WB and HBO Max to, say, give Snyder a few hundred million to make like one or two seasons of a Justice League HBO max series to finish that story as its own thing, its own cul-de-sac as it were. Let him tell that story that was always going to be pretty much close ended in the same way Nolan's Batman trilogy was. That would not preclude or in any way interfere with anything else DC is planning.

And all it took was AT&T buying WB, a new streaming service that needed content, and a global pandemic. Plus it’s one thing for WB to give Snyder $70 million to finish a mostly shot movie. But a follow up would need at least $200+ million. Then you’d have to get all the actors back and that’s a huge hurdle because a lot of them have already signed up for other projects. Fisher and Hamada aren’t working together again ever either. Cavill might not come back unless he gets another solo. There’s a new Batman movie coming and a new Superman reboot, WB probably doesn’t want Cavill competing with the new black take for attention.

Is it so hard to believe that superman is at his core a good guy?
Although to be fair he does say maybe a lot, like how maybe martian manhiunter was always planned to turn up in the justice league film lol.

Lol maybe Clark would have vaporized Lois if he saw the fetus was Bruce's.
