HA! I like that quote.
I think they could do a really interesting Sword of the Atom like story with Ray protecting the microverse.
Sword of the Atom was about Ray being stuck at insect size, and discovering a whole society living at that size in some yard. It was Honey I Shrunk the Kids crossed with John Carter of Mars. I wouldn't mind revisiting it, but only if the art was really nice. At least as good as Ivan Reis, who does a pretty good Kane impression. Not that he was intentionally going for that. But some of his GL and Aquaman had that look.

To me, as originally written, The Silver-Age Atom was a thinking readers' character.
He didn't just bop bad guys, a lot of the action centered around how reducing or recovering his weight could be tactically deployed. Little tricks like reacting to an opponent grabbing him by suddenly resuming his full 180 lbs weight, or ricocheting from target to target, made for interesting and different action narratives.

Yeah, that one was a bit of a leap even back then. However, if he can ride the electrical impulses traveling between phones over wires, there's no reason he can't do the same over the signals between cellphones. For that matter, if he knows a bad guy's Skype address, there's no reason can't come blasting at them right out of their computer screens!
(I now REALLY want to see a great artist draw a cover with that!)

And considering that the Atom is one of DCU's top scientist... I'd love to see Grant Morrison take a shot in writing Dr. Ray Palmer's adventures.
man, i wish dc would make another who's who series.
Well, until they settle on what is and what isn't "canon", don't expect one anytime soon.
Oh, and they did do some "Who's Who" entries during the New52 when they had those #0 issues in 2012.
