I kinda hope they do. Make up for the missed opportunities with Tyke, and this time Laura can be the older woman.
A bad ship for another bad ship yawn

How old is Laura?
barely 20?

Either 20 or 21. Daken said she was cloned "twenty years" before Orphans of X, but there's some leeway for her exact age, allowing her birthday in Tamaki's book to be either her 20th or 21st.
How old is Baby Cable supposed to be? That may cause problems if Marvel does decide to ship it. Either he'll get aged up, Laura will get retconned, or they'll let it be another uncomfortable Kitty/Colossus situation (which frankly is even LESS acceptable these days than it was back when Claremont did it. And even then it was problematic).

Cable is either 16 or 17 so maybe that shouldn’t be a thing.

There was a time jump before HoX and he travelled back from the future. There's enough leeway there to make him 18 if they wanted to go the romance route

I don't have the source but I remember Brissonsaying he wanted Kid Cable to be super young like 12 or 13.
Anyway, I hope they at least become friends.

Judging by solicits Cable does SOMETHING to betray her, so it's not likely to last.

Brisson's tweeted that Kid Cable is 16-17. So yeah, too much of an age gap there if they keep Laura old enough to drink.

How do we know he is supposed to be 16-17? it was in the comics, or Brisson said it?
Edit: lol never mind, Anduinel just said it

I have no clue how long this book is going to be around. It is going to be hit or miss some but for me I really like it.
Kid Cable is growing on me with these issues this week, I think at some point in time a writer is going to find the perfect voice for him. If they can find the right amount awkward comedy while being still badass I think they might have something.

This book is one of the best of the new line. It's a niche title and that's fine, but it's very good.

I like Kid Cable. Wouldn’t’ve EVER said that pre-Krakoa.

I liked him in both books. I'm not here for the inevitable "Nathan would never" morning takes. He is a kid.

I am the same way but I give stuff more of chance than most comic fans apparently. After reading this week an "Incredibles" style mini series with Cyclops, Jean Grey, Rachel Grey and Cable would be interesting.

JDW confirmed on twitter that issue 6 is the last issue
