I'm not sure how Artemis could be at Diana/Donna/Cassie/Yara's level when unlike them, she doesn't have any godly gifts. Sure, she's an Amazon who is significantly stronger than a normal human but I struggle to understand how that would put her in the same league as someone with Olympian gifts. Now if Artemis is wearing the Gauntlet of Atlas, that's a different story.
Her recent showing in the Outlaws comic puts her on their level or at least close to it.

Well there's an Amazon tournament coming up, so we'll find out where everyone stands then. :p

I get it but does that comic state how Artemis got so powerful? I'm not buying it that all of the Amazons are on Diana's level being that she has godly gifts and they don't.

Maybe it's because Artemis is the Bana Champion?

I imagine that's the extent of it.
Probably the same as Bendis'; "she's a Wonder character, so she flies".
Which is from an entirely separate continuity, I imagine here it's just similar to what Vordan said.
Unlike Artemis now that doesn't fly though, because except for Atalanta who's originally Themysciran technically a Bana shouldn't have any super strength at all. They've been mating the normal way for thousands of years and aren't immortal. Their gods offer a sandstorm of protection and magic weapons like the Bow of Ra, not physical powers. Especially not on the level of Diana or Yara who're both the offspring of gods and have their own special gifts.
Artemis shouldn't be able to do some of the things she does. Being the top tier Bana isn't enough, there has to be another explanation.

Artemis just flew in the Wonder Girl series.

I know, that's a lot of power creep and we need answers for it.

Shouldn’t Atalanta still be immortal though? She was in another dimension fighting a god for a very long time. And isn’t she also Hippolyta’s aunt as well?

Yeah because she's Themysciran she's immortal.

Even if Artemis is the Bana champion, that still doesn't explain her having Wonder Woman or Superman level strength without enhancements.

What are her best feats in outlaws? The best one i saw is Artemis fighting bizarro. But that comic had jason taking hits from him, and suggesting that bizarro may be holding back, since otherwise jason should be dead. Those were jason's own words. So we don't know if bizarro fought Artemis with his full force. And even then, the comic clearly showed that bizarro was physically superior. Diana has a far better trackrecord facing kryptonians than what Artemis did in outlaws.

Well, yes. I would like an explanation but previous ones like the Gauntlet of Atlas aren't really factors since they've not been shown or reintroduced since this is a new continuity.

Holding back doesn't explain why her hand didn't shatter when she tried to punch Bizarro.

New continuity or not I want a Post-Crisis reason for it.
