I love seeing those two teaming-up together. They would make great addition to the X-Men in my eyes.
What for? What would it mean? Is it becoming a member of some aristocracy of super-heroes? The reaction of the others to this new “status”? Being “feared and hunted” when it was not the case previously? I think this last case would be interesting but difficult to write… Most of super-heroes have been well established for a long time and changing what they are would bring nothing but confusion.
So, for me, no one. Except maybe a new one, especially created for this case.
To feed some people's wet dreams of course.
You are great so we give you honorable mutant status!
You are great it's only natural you join our glorious franchise!
The characters themselves aren't really the concern here.
Sam Wilson could be a mutant.
Cloak and Dagger - Dagger seemed so sad not to be a mutant
WANDA AND Quicksilver.
-
Daredevil.
I think Pietro should be a mutant. Wanda should stay human.
Franklin
Maximoffs
Cloak & Dagger
Thats it.
Franklin Richards
Scarlet Witch
Quicksilver
Speed
Wiccan
Cloak
Dagger
Squirrel Girl
Toro
I would add Spiral because she has such an amazing silhouette and is very much a part of the X books lore so I would add her as well.
Hazmat, Finesse, Bombshell and Wonder Man.
Bombshell was already a mutant, possibly, in her original Ultimate Marvel appearances where mutants were explained as byproducts of the same super-soldier experiments that gave that setting Captain America and Wolverine, with Logan as the first "true" mutant, and she got her powers as a result of her mother being experimented on by Roxxon while pregnant with her.
Sam Wilson could be a mutant.
They used to imply that as the reason he could see through the eyes of and communicate with birds, before making it related to Cosmic Cube shenanigans.
Let’s say Marvel decides to pull a reverse Maximoffs scenario and reveal that a character unaffiliated with x-men has actually been a mutant their whole life without even knowing. Who would you want it to be and how would you want the retcon to play out?
Given the current state of the X-books?
Not one character. Not a single solitary one.
Franklin will be a mutant by the default the moment someone inevitably reaches upon a soap opera trope and retcon him to be Namor’s
Misty knight ( gravity manipulation), Night Trasher ( combat telepath ), Firebird ,and living lighting , and Sun Girl ( photokinesis )
Also would have made Iso, Flint,Grid ,and Inferno mutants..
Forgot about Franklin Richard. Mostly because I assume he is still a mutant.
Wanda and Pietro to go back to being mutants and I don't see that as a retcon and please leave C and D as what they are. They could have been mutants if they wanted to keep the mutant angle and they said no and switching back again would be much too hard to believe and accept.
Outside the smaller characters that were mentioned? Good gods - no one. We already have way too many mutants that need attention and after decades suddenly turning SH's into mutants would be hard.
