Venditti's Four Corpsmen always strikes me as kind of hypocritical. But I think it's more of his bad writing and less of concept itself.
That said, I think Hal and Kilowog share a more profound bond.

[QUOTE=Buried Alien;5244836]Hal Jordan is and has always been my favorite GL, but all the others are cool too. It'd be a poorer DCU without any one of them.

Hey - take that nonsense to another thread - this is all about choosing sides and frakk the rest!
Flodo, Flodo, Flodo Span
Screw the rest, cuz you're the man!

Guy.
Closely followed by Kyle.
And my favourite alien GLs are Kilowog (of course) and Perdoo!!

All all Lanterns fans only fans of one character?
My favorite is Jessica Cruz. Never found any of the previous main Lanterns that interesting.

[QUOTE=Frontier;5244776]This sums up my stance:

They might four corpsmen. But,we all know guy gardner solos.

My favorites always fluctuated between Kyle and John. I think it's Kyle though. Just started reading the trade Green Lantern: Kyle Rayner and im really enjoying it.
I'd say, in order:
Kyle
John
Hal
Jess
Guy
Simon

Honestly, at this point, I'm not even sure I have a favorite GL anymore. It's hard to when at any moment, the GL you're attached to can go from having a great role in the franchise to either having a diminished role or getting taken off the table for a few years. Makes me glad Batman is my favorite superhero.
That being said, while I don't have a favorite, Hal is the best. Pretty much by default, really.

Having only read one and the rest are multiple previews strung into one, here's my take
Alan - So is he still gay or bi?
Hal - Okay. He's kinda a bit generic hero to me.
Kyle - want to know more
Jessica - Cute
Baz - Not that interested in Baz himself but I want to know his family more
Jon - Doesn't stand out enough since the ones I've seen is as The Level-Headed One
Guy - I like him in Red since one of my ideas is to spread them out
Mogo - Awesome by the concept. I need the first appearance as a Lantern.
Kilowog, Tomar-Re, Arisia, Ch'p, Salaak - Just a supporting cast for now
I think out of all of them I'd enjoy reading Jessica most since she's cute in appearance and mannerism, followed by Kyle since he seems hotadorkable

You are only saying that because of this.

Bow to her you impudent dogs.

Flodo Span, Flodo Span,
Does whatever a Flodo can...
Can he spread, out a lot,
captures evil without a doubt!
Whatchout! Here comes the Flodo Span!

I think the Green Lantern flame wars are largely a thing of the past now...it's high tide was 20 years ago on the DC message boards when it was all out war between the Hal & Kyle camps.
Hal fans are older and more mellow now, and Kyle fans are few and far between after 15 years plus of Hal holding the title.
I do find that there is some animosity amongst a few John and Jessica fans who see "Hal as in the way" of getting their favourite GL the spotlight, but realistically they are a small minority to.
The death of Saturday morning cartoons, means that people just don't have the childhood attachment to characters like they use to, so I don't forsee a revival of the flame war....however now that I said that...

I was always kinda partial to Jack T. Chance. Slightly more seriously, why the hell has nobody tried to bring Katma Tui back from the dead? Her death was one of the low points of the Green Lantern strip in Action Comics Weekly (and that's saying a lot, since the GL strip in ACW was a low point for Green Lantern in general).
