WB jerked Ray Fisher for too long. Should have given him or Miller a chance and not be paralyzed with fear after the JL underperformed at the BO. Feel bad for both but more for Fisher.
Not happy how WB has treated some of the actors from JL. Don't blame them for the failure of JL. Blame the directors, even though I enjoyed the JL.
Miller is still a pretty acclaimed actor, and has the Fantastic Beasts franchise at least. But yeah, I do feel bad for Ray Fisher. He was a complete unknown before this and playing Cyborg was supposed to be his big break, and then...yeah. He was really good as Mahershala Ali's son in True Detective's most recent season, though. Hopefully that gets him more work.
Yeah, I was never doubting Miller's acting ability or that he was a fan, but I just wasn't really all that into his take on The Flash.
Maybe they could've reconciled Miller's Flash like they did Momoa as Aquaman, but I'm ready for someone new.
And maybe with Miller gone we can finally get some forward momentum on The Flash movie. Not that I think he was directly causing the slow production, but I think he was part of it. Although it feels like The Flash is the movie WB wants to make, but can't seem to nail down. Are the Game Night creators even still involved at this point?
Just the kind of edgy, punk, irreverent style and costumes seems more in-line with what Ayer did in my opinion.
That's kinda weird because I can't draw a line between BoO and Suicide Squad at all. Squad is totally in line with an amalgam of Ostander and New 52 SS(quality withstanding). You sure you're not using "not comic accuracy" as a catch all for the different styles that SS and BoP use?

With this its official no more Justice League movies for at least a decade
book it

Even if Fischer and Miller stuck around we weren’t getting another JL movie any time soon. Cavill is out and they’d want to reboot Superman as well before another JL. Now at least we know nothing from the Snyder films will carry over and they can start fresh.

I thought they were making an animated adaption of this already? Cavill is going to be ****** lol, he loves that story.

I agree that SS was a weird mix of Ostrander and New 52 that didn't really work all that well in my opinion, but BoP still feels more in-line with that kind of movie.

Do we really need another evil Superman movie instead of a real one?

It seems that WB cannot imagine how Superman could be interesting or fun if he's not evil (even Snyder was originally going there), so........
No, we don't. But someone needs to send a memo to the guys in charge about it.
Feel bad for Fischer. He was really into promoting Cyborg, a shame that he was trapped in an awful movie. But yeah the writing was on the wall, only Gadot and Maoma are going to carry over.
Yeah, I thought Fisher's Cyborg was one of the few highlights of JL; just damn good casting and well played, and was really hoping he'd get a chance to tackle the role in a quality solo flick.
Alas.

It just seems so ridiculous to see them keep pushing these evil Supermen out there when we haven't had a real live-action Superman movie since Man of Steel. And even that was controversial enough that people still think we haven't had a really great Superman movie in forever.
At least for me I enjoyed the Reign of the Supermen animated movie, but Superman still deserves better.

They need to sort out regular Superman before making Red Son.
I can't fathom that after the controversies of MOS and BvS, they'd think going for another dark take was a good idea. Every Super-related rumor that is floating around, from Supergirl to this, is seriously awful. How fucking hard can this possibly be? The first Superman movie was the model for a lot of the most successful superhero movies we've seen in recent years (WW, the Raimi Spider-Man, even the MCU), why is it seemingly impossible to modernize it for the actual character it started with?

I don't think they have faith in Superman and what he represents. All people seem to care about is his power level and costume, "he's too strong" or "trunks are outdated". How about some character development? Hell I'd be fine with a paint by numbers version of Secret Origin at this point.

My only problem is that such a story will inevitably depict socialism as a bad thing. If I had the script, I would write it so that Superman was crash landed in Vermont where he is discovered and raised by a young Bernie Sanders.
