no was created from a part of the phoenix
Necrom was the supreme sorcerer of an ancient extra-dimensional race, who had Merlin and Feron as his students. Necrom shared with his students the energy originating from the nexus between parallel dimensions, the portals between worlds. Together, the three magicians built a tower in the Primordial Earth that acted as if it were a pin that held the multiverse together, thus creating a matrix of amazing power.
But Necrom had a secret plan that he had not revealed to his students: compressing the alternative lands into a singularity, causing an eruption of energy with which he intended to acquire the power of a god. Upon discovering it, Necrom's disciples tried to stop him, and Feron joined the elemental force known as the Phoenix Force. In the confrontation, Necrom stole a portion of the Phoenix Force and killed Feron. As the Phoenix fled into space, Necrom linked the portion of power he had stolen with a part of his own life essence, creating the Anti-Phoenix. However, he realized that he could no longer carry out his plan, and sent the Anti-Phoenix to the Primordial Land, hiding himself in the multiverse.
No it wont. Thats clearly something thats been retconned/forgotten
does it though? Its quite different as he came back to the era that he was supposed to be in. If he dies, its not gonna break the time steam as the current status quo makes it such that he can be quickly be brought back. There's some safety in this
The plot twist was great. The biggest problem Marvel has had is not exploring his relationships more which hopefully his solo will rectify. Its a shame that Hope hasnt been touched at all as that should have been high on the priority list. Fallen Angels was a waste of time. We are in for him with Scott but sadly it looks like Jean and Rachel might go ignored
hell now that Maddy is back, one would think that's a reunion that needs doing as well but who knows?

That's wonderful, mikedesil. I'd love to know what you thought of it, though. ;)
Loved X-Cutioner’s Song. Great art. Especially the Jae Lee and Greg Capullo drawn issues.
Can't wait for the new Cable to come out again, really curious to see where that last page is going. Gerry Duggan has been great on Marauders and I'm expecting good things with Cable.
That last page is why I’m buying issue #2. 100%.

Me too. All-time favorite X-event ever.

In agreement with you about both Jae Lee & Greg Capullo. However, I would also like to add Andy Kubert.
Even though it was early in his career, I still thought his artwork was well done:

Yeah, Andy Kubert’s art was also very solid. Like you said, early in his career, but it was gritty and great at conveying movement/action
