Used to think. There was a particular crew at the company that didn't like the character and despised her fandom even more. A lot of them are gone now, or don't work in the comic aspect of the company anymore.
The new leadership considers Wonder Woman a priority. Which is why we've seen Wonder Woman at the forefront of more stuff than we've ever seen in years.
That gives me more hope then that the WW surge will outlast this year. (And hopefully such priority will show itself in the animation department ;) )

I bet that's not even her final form. :p
All examples I was thinking off, and I find it ironic how attempts to make her more "likeable" usually involve making her less likeable.... or make the Amazon's look bad so Diana has to "learn how to be better then them" in man's world.
It felt like they wanted to create a character who could be talked down to.
Not just talk down to but also act like it makes her a better hero because she kills. By equating her so closely with ruthlessness it undermines her compassion and love which goes against the stated purpose of the character.
Added to that, I think it was also to make her more 'digestible' to audience. "Warrior Woman: angry, likes to fight, hit things and not scared to kill', throw in some blood and gore and you can disguise poor, simplistic story telling under the guise of maturity. Mature only in ratings and not in actual content. The whole to-kill-not-to-kill debate is probably one of the most asinine aspects in all of comics.

Hmmm, still not sure about this look.
Is Phil trying to convey that wisdom is only visible to those who see it?

It looks her body is invisible and her attire and weapons are the only things we can see .

They all look so cool, which Hestia and Athena were in the shot for the full set though

New picture of Aphrodite and Athena, apparently part of a big page spread showing all the goddesses (save perhaps Hera who I think will get her own)

The colours help the design make more sense.

For a while there I was really worried about the coloring for Historia. It seemed to me like the end product would actually look worse than the black and white pencils. But those two images look pretty nice.
