Going to give that entire month a hard pass.
Thoughts:
- Sounds like the Far Sector GL is defending a fake utopia. I wonder how comfortable she is with that since it seems like she's been there for a few years?
- I'm interested to see where this Blackstars run for Hal goes before we get the normal GL back for "season 2." I'm expecting a lot of pain for Mongul...
- DC relaunching He-Man again? It's nice to see they're not letting the property lie in total limbo.
- "Billy Batson is a good kid. He helps his friends, loves his family, and tries to do the right thing." Sounds like classic Billy. I haven't read Johns' recent stuff yet, is he written that way again now? Although his infected self sounds like he's acting like the preconceptions for New 52 Billy.
- I feel bad for Jaime to have to come out of limbo just to get turned into a villain for an event.
- Anyone else notice the Marvel "gets?" Sina Grace? Dennis Hopeless?
- Brian Bendis on a Legion reboot. I hope the fans, team, and title survive the experience.
- Nice to see the Question back in his own mini series. I'm eager to see Lemire's take on Vic.
- So I guess the Black Lanterns won because Sinestro remained the White Lantern instead of it transferring to Hal like it did in the original story.
- Hey, Ted's leading his own story too! Although it looks like he turns evil :(.
- Leviathan looks so Dr. Doom. And his solders in silhouette look...kind of like OMAC's?
- Sounds like the Flashes are going to have to take it to the Rogues in their individual domains.
- Wally and an alternate Roy on a world of a vampire Justice League actually sounds kind of fun. Dare I have hopes for this book?
- Will Perpetua cement herself as the next great DCU Big Bad?
- That Looney Tunes comic seems surprisingly Space Jam-esque.
- I'm surprised the Metal Men mini is going to tie-in to the Dark Multiverse stuff, but I guess Didio was into it. What's next, Sideways?
- I don't know how I feel about Naomi joining Young Justice. I mean, I get she's a new rising star young hero but it feels like the team's barely settled into itself yet and I'm not sure if Bendis knows what to do with anyone past the core YJ 4.
The Shazam that is being solicited for November is a one shot that is tied into the year of the villain garbage.
The regular title by Johns has been quite good and has that golden age feel but with the new family dynamics. Give it a try!
Does that mean they won’t appear on the mail order lists?
Given Jemisin's other work, I'd guess she's going to be vaguely aware it's all wrong, but won't be able to put her finger on why until we get into the story. I have loved every book she's written, so I have very high hopes for this series.
Action 1017
Batman: Last Night on Earth 3
Red Hood: Outlaw 40
Wow Lobdell is making Roy friends with everyone

Yeah, I went back and preordered the November tie. Ins.
Still no DOOMSDAY CLOCK.
Wth...
I thought it’d definitely wrap up by the end of this year. Smh.
Well, there's still the December solicits to go, so it still might be possible (if it then doesn't get delayed too much).
Earth-43 must really suck if Roy is the premier anything.
For years, Vic Sage has worn the faceless mask of the Question to clean up the streets of Hub City by sheer force of will. He knows right from wrong. He knows black from white. But what happens when he is drawn into a conspiracy that reaches from the heights of Hub City power to the depths of its underground tunnels? What happens when things stop being black-and-white and start getting a little gray?
So this rolls up Vic Sage's character history into one paragraph.
Wow Lobdell is making Roy friends with everyone
Wally and Roy were already friends though...
Earth-43 must really suck if Roy is the premier anything.
I'd read Roy Harper: Vampire Hunter ;).
Wally and Roy were already friends though...
Yeah, but that was before Wally, you know, murdered him.
Yeah, but that was before Wally, you know, murdered him.
When you meet the friend you killed's multiversal double, it's usually a good idea to just skip over that fact. Wally's plan is pretty much risk free - if Roy Helsing is a douche, go to another Earth and look for a better version; if he's cool, you've got your friend back. I don't know why Kingpin is the only one that tried this . . .
is sina grace tryna pull off a reverse nick spencer

Burned bridges with one company and moving on to another? Although I guess he wouldn't be the first after Fraction.
